I agree that the cat needs a new "safe" spot in your room. Maybe somewhere high. Try putting a pillow from the bed on top of a dresser to get the cat to move.
Or you could try teaching the dog to sleep with the toddler...?
We had the same problem after we stopped crating our dog at night: (we never allow the dog on our bed though.)
We bought the dog a bed that is placed between DHs side of the bed and the wall. It took a little while but the dog got use to sleeping on his bed and not jumping on the bed. This gives the cat the safe space of the bed.

Our situation is a little different (no dogs here) but we were having an awful problem with our elderly cat yowling all night. After bloodwork came back normal we started her on a low dose of Paxil and after just a couple if weeks she is a hundred times better - a different cat, seriously.
I would definitely try cat trees and some of the other ideas to get her comfortable first but meds for the cat might be a good option if nothing else works.
