We have the perfect sleeper. She has never got out of her bed during the night. From day 1, we told her not to get out but instead to call us. But this has been a blessing (never been woken up by a face staring at me) And a curse (if she needs a drink, to pee, drops a toy she calls us) How do I get her to get up by herself to pee? But stay in her bed in the morning? She wakes up at 6am so she needs to stay there. She is almost 4.

My 9 year old still sometimes gets me up in the night when he pees to tuck him back in, so I don't know how to help there. But his dad did walk out in the middle of the night after we'd told DS repeatedly that he was going to move out on the weekend. So sometimes I think it's a security thing for him there.
As far as the drink, can you put a cup of water on a nightstand by her bed? DS has a regular water bottle now, but he had a straw cup for a long time to prevent spills in the middle of the night. Tell her that you think she is a big enough girl to be able to have her own special night time cup now and if she needs a drink of water in the night she can just sit up, take her drink and lay back down.
Is it typical for kids to get up during the night to pee? Both my older two have always just held it until morning. Now I am wondering if that's weird.
DS is 7 and only recently started getting out of bed without telling us. We moved this summer and he's on another floor and he just comes straight to our room now. He doesn't really get out otherwise. We never told him he had to stay in bed he just does. He doesn't need to pee overnight, but has been that way since before he was fully potty trained.
He does have a clock now so he doesn't come down before 6 am. There are toddler ones that light by color when it is okay to wake up.
Eta: we did have his bedroom door gated til around age three and a half because we couldn't gate the stairs and didn't want him wandering. He still yelled from bed though.

My 6 year old will not get up by himself for any reason-he always yells to us. Our 4 year old will get out of bed before she's asleep for drink, toys, bathroom, etc. she will also get out of bed in the morning, see if we're up, and if we're not, she will go back and yell to us.

Not weird at all. M hasn't peed overnight for a long, long time - I'd say at least since he was 2yo.
