I just realized we forgot DS1 swim class tonight. We missed last week because we were on vacation. I went to look up the end date so I could put them all in my calendar and realize it started 9/14 so we missed THREE classes. I suck. At least it goes till 12/14 do there are still a lot left. Sigh.
Mom brain is a very real thing. I have forgotten the kids' dentist appointments twice in the last year. I am so grateful they have a nice dentist and that hasn't charged me for a missed appointment and rescheduled so I could get them in quickly. $25 missed appointment fee x three kids x two missed appointments= $150 I would have been sad to lose.

I wouldn't give it another thought! You have a newborn -- you've got a lot going on :-)
I'd just ask about makeup classes. Hopefully you can do at least one makeup.
I regularly skip my girls' activities for flimsy reasons (as in, if one of us just doesn't feel like leaving the house, we won't go). At least you legitimately forgot it!

The website says no makeup. I guess I just feel really bad because swim is something special between us. Expecially with the new baby...the I go and forget all about it. Bah. Two kids is hard on the brain

Don't feel bad. I forgot my kindergartener at the bus stop.
School lets out at 3 and I meet him at the bus stop at 3:30. Last Wednesday was early release for teacher conferences. School let out at 12:50, so I figured that he'd be at the bus stop around 1:20. I'm the only parent waiting at 1:15 when I get a call from the front office that my son is waiting to be picked up at school. The bus driver can't let a kindergartener off the bus without a parent waiting and the drivers takes them back to school. Apparently the bus came at 1:10. Oops!
I hired a sitter one evening last week and told her ahead of time, "DD goes to music class after school, so you'll just be responsible for the baby." Then, when she was out with DS and on her way to get DD at her bus stop, I texted her to say, "you can take both kids to the park if you want." To which she responded, "I thought your DD had music class in half an hour?" Right. If not for her, I would have picked up DD and taken both kids to the park myself, completely zoning out on DD's music class.

I'm impressed you're even up for doing swim class with having an infant around! I know I'd feel bad too, so I get it. We definitely have missed classes due to combos of travel and illness, it is what it is :/
You are a rock star for doing it even though you have an infant. No worries, just start back up when you can. Thus isn't like a team sport where they are depending on him!☺
