I was nursing DD before putting her down for her nap when she tried to squirm out of my lap, slipped, and hit her forehead on the corner of a wooden filing cabinet. She immediately got a big bump on her forehead.
After I got her calmed down, she was still acting sleepy, so I went ahead and put her down for her nap. Is that okay, or should I get her up so that I can monitor her and ice her forehead?

A bump is a good sign. I would probably just let her be and monitor her throughout the day. Both of mine had some pretty significant head bumps as babies and have been fine.

G just did this a few weeks ago - it's so stressful!
I would let her be and keep an eye on it. Everything I read said so long as there was no persistent vomiting, bleeding from the eyes or mouth (omg), or confusion it was most likely ok.
