seriously namasteak I say this with love but you need to shut down some of this husband bullshit. This is going to lead to a lot of long term resentment.
I'm trying. See my above post about us fighting.
God I hate the newborn stage. Everyone is tired & it inevitably turns into a "who has it worst" contest.
The newborn stage really does suck. I went to a mommy and me group at my dr.s office today after my pp check up (mainly because they have a baby scale and I wanted to see what DD weighed). And the LC leader was like, "by your 3rd or 4th kid don't you just enjoy it so much more because you know how fast it all goes by?". I just kinda nodded and said something about how having a baby makes my older kids seem so much bigger. But on the inside I was thinking, "Nope. This is my 3rd newborn and I'm still just mentally counting down the weeks and days until she's 3 months old.
@starry I have been procrastinating asking DH to help me with that because I knew it would mean if have to put out. Finally last night the hints from him got big enough that I thougt, hey, I can kill two birds with sex. #imsoromantic

Ds1 does seem so much bigger. I swear he's gained several pounds and inches and months of development in the last few weeks.
Its comforting to hear that I'm not the only one who isn't thrilled with newborns.
@mrswindycity hmmm. I can see him factually stating "I did the best in my class on the test" (do kindergarteners have tests?) but the overall best comments seem a bit much. But maybe that's normal for kindergarteners? They do seem like a self confident bunch and maybe not best to break them early.
I have no idea what is normal. I just don't want him to sound like an asshole, ha. Of course I am probably overthinking and if he said this in class (I have no idea if he has) another kid would probably just say she is the best, not Z, lol. I think a lot of what he says is to us, and to make us feel proud of him, maybe.
Meanwhile, I am dealing with my other kid saying "I can't" for things he used to do all the time on his own.
I think this is pretty normal. It sounds blunt to our ears, but to them, it's just the truth lol. You could agree with him that is he awesome at math or reading or whatever (because I agree at this age, I'd rather they have too much confidence than not enough), but try to get him to recognize and talk about what other kids are "the best" at, too.
Also, DD melted down for 45 minutes last night because she didn't like the way she wrote Q. I thought she would be our easy child. But no, I have a perfectionist and a lazy-bones.

The doctors I work for have started doing Botox and fillers, they needed models for training so my sleep deprived self was more than happy to be of service! They used fillers in the deep scar lines on my chin that I've always hated and I'm so happy with the results. The Botox results aren't immediate, it will be a week tomorrow since the treatment and just this morning I realized my eyebrows have a nicer shape, and the outer ends are more lifted. For once I feel like I have strong brow game. My forehead is smoother too though I didn't have much for wrinkles. I just feel more refreshed, and it was free!

DS went to bed at 8, no problem. He has since been up 3 times screaming his little head off. I gave him Advil before he went down the first time. I'm assuming he is waking bc of his top front teeth coming in. But I seriously hope I end up getting some sleep tonight.

I've decided to cut milk starting tomorrow and see if it helps. Baby girl's face still looks pretty bad and she's had several days of green watery stool. I had ice cream tonight as a send off . They're just so different than DDs mspi symptoms that I'm still holding out hope she doesn't have it!

Ugh yes. After a really rough night (DH is still sttn in the guest room) this morning we had a tiff about whether or not I would get a nap today. He insisted I would because she sleeps so much, while I said her sleep's been erratic so I wasn't sure. It was weird.
I am impressed people can go so long without bathing their kid. DS1 gets so sweaty. The other day I had to give him a bath after nap because he was drenched in sweat.
Eh, sweat dries, lol.
Cora doesn't really sweat that much. I also regularly give her baby wipe baths (she also has exzema so her skin gets nasty if we do too many baths.)
But it smells! That sucks about her skin. I don't judge, my kids are just too smelly. Expecially in the summer when you add in sunscreen

Bad baby acne is 100% normal. My kid looked horrible 2 weeks ago. Now he has pretty baby skin.

I hope she doesn't have MSPI but don't worry about missing ice cream. Steve's is a great vegan/soy free ice cream brand
