Update: CT scan came back clear and blood work looks good. They gave him strong meds including morphine and that helped but he still has a headache. I'm putting it in the win column! Thanks for your words of encouragement. Very needed this week.
For DH. He got a headache last night and took Advil. This morning, it was worse. He went to work and ended up coming home after about an hour. He said his head hurt so bad he was in tears. He spent the day in bed (for 10 hours) and never went to sleep, he was in so much pain. He took excedrin migraine and it didn't touch the pain. This is a man who never gets headaches and generally refuses to take medications. He's taken a sick day once over the last 10 years. I got home and went up to our bedroom and he was laying there in tears. It was awful.
DH's sister is an ER nurse and told us we needed to come in. She said it's likely just a migraine but to be safe, we should be here.
On top of this, I have the biggest 2 work weeks of my entire career this week and next week. I'm the lead on a huge project going live on Thursday and am hosting around 20 training sessions over the next 2 weeks.
And....DS is sick. So congested and sad. I had to pick him up early from daycare yesterday and we have an appointment with his pedi tomorrow morning. Praying he is good enough to go back to daycare tomorrow, otherwise I am screwed.
Oh no. I hope your H is ok and that they are both feeling better really soon. Any chance your work has backup care? Mine will provide care in your home for a mildly ill child.
Nope, unfortunately. If I absolutely have no other choice, I'll try to work from home with DS in front of the TV. Hopefully I can get to the office for a bit.

Could you husband have had a cluster headache? My husband has cluster headaches and we have had a couple nights in the ER. Nothing touches the pain of the headache except for serious drugs. They're so painful he is in tears when he gets an attack. Cluster headaches impact men more so than women. I think getting DH's blood pressure under control helped.

Interesting. Thanks for this. His BP is awesome, even a bit on the low side. The doc has ordered the highest level CT scan that looks at the blood vessels. Waiting on that.
Glad his tests came back clear and I hope he's feeling better. I'm so sorry ds is sick, too. And work! These things always seem to happen at once and it's so stressful. Hang in there, friend.
I'm glad the CT was clear - hope his headache goes away soon. And that you can get your stuff done. I hope you have a super compliant kid who sits in front of the tv all day.
