How long did your LO stay out out of daycare for croup?

She got sick on Saturday night. She has been fever free for 24 hours now but she still is coughing a lot. Should I keep her home another day? Did you wait until the cough was better under control?

DS gets a croupy cough pretty much every time he gets sick. He's got crappy lungs unfortunately. He's not in daycare, but he started preschool last month. He got sick last Wednesday and I kept him home until the following Tuesday. I usually wait until he can run and play without coughing badly.

I go by fever and how he is acting because DS gets the croup cough every single time now.
He just got over a runny nose with no fever but was perfectly happy, so we didn't keep him home.

We have always sent her back to daycare once she's been fever free for 24 hours. we have sent the nebulizer in and they do the treatments there.
