At least once a day C says his tummy hurts (or occasionally some other body part) despite acting fine otherwise. He basically immediately continues doing whatever he was doing before.
I don't know if it's normal, but mine does this, too. It makes me crazy because I never know whether something is actually wrong or not. "My tummy hurts" might mean she's going to puke or that she's hungry. Ugh.
Yes! DD is always saying her tummy hurts. I think it's for attention, but that combined with the fact that she rarely has solid poops and H's digestive issues makes me worried.
Yes but I know she does it for attention and sympathy. If I speak sternly to her about something, she gets upset and then right away her foot or whatever hurts and needs kisses, lol.

I hate when DD says her tummy hurts. I am always afraid that means she is going to puke. She is usually not sick and it is some other issue (hungry, needs to poop, etc) but it still makes me nervous.
When DD says her tummy really hurts I immediately think she is going to puke. It's like the only time her tummy really hurts. Sometimes I think she just eats too much but 99% of the time she has puked when this happens.
We're pretty sure A lies in bed and contemplates which body part will get him the most attention. Usually it's take a sip of water and some deep breaths and go back to bed. When he said his penis hurt, H did check that one out.
Yes. My dd turned 3 at the end of May and it's frequent. My pediatrician said it was normal and to just try to change the topic and give minimal reaction.
If she actually seemed remotely sick or hurt, I wouldn't ignore, but that's rarely the case.
Yes. Well he just says "I hurt my body" which I think is a phrase from daycare, and when we ask where he'll point to random things. Sometimes it goes away, sometimes we have to give it kisses.
ETA and injury stories get recounted. So he'll say "I hurt my body" and then talk about the time I spilled coffee on his neck. Just not in front of the court officials, kid.
Yup. DS is 3.5 and does this constantly. It varies between tummy, tongue, feet, and random finger. If he has the TINIEST scratch on a finger he insists on a bandaid. It's not a battle I want to pick so he gets one. Whatever.

Completely normal. My DD did this all the time when she was C's age. I think it was her way of trying to tell me she needed attention, and she was still too little to just ask for it outright. She's grown out of it.
Hank complains about his knee hurting in the middle of the night. He's frantic so I always assume it's growing pains. He will occasionally tell me his throat hurts if he doesn't want to eat something in particular. This I disregard.
