OK, I'll bite. If this product is real, it is horribly designed, expensive, wasteful, and entirely impractical.
1. Do not cut off the LOONCUP stem. It is where antenna is inserted.
DEAL BREAKER! It also mentions that the stems should be outside of you, nope nope nope. Do they not have any idea how horribly uncomfortable that will be? There is a reason why many women cut the stems off their cups - the stems are pokey and useless.
2. ...the battery is designed to last 6 months...It's non-rechargeable, non-replaceable.
WTF, so if I want to keep using an app to tell me already obvious things about my period, I need to buy a new one at $30-40 a pop twice a year? Fuck no. I've had my current Diva Cup for about 8-10 years (I forget when I bought it exactly), well before the asinine suggestion to replace it yearly, and I bought it largely because 1) it was cheaper in the long term, and 2) reusable basically indefinitely and not generating tons of waste. This product is expensive and wasteful.
3. Do not use the LOONCUP when you pass airport security.
One of the main benefits for me for my Diva Cup is that it is one tiny thing to use when traveling. Potentially getting strip searched because of Bluetooth up my vag is definitely not a selling point.
Wowza. I still haven't gotten into using apps to track how much I've run or eaten or how often the baby has eaten or about a billion other activities that would make more sense for me to track than my menstrual flow. No, no, no.
I do not like this name at all and hope that this is just a bad joke. Actually, I hope it's not a joke because the "joke" would just be gross. Women are looney? Women are looney during menstruation? Women who use menstrual cups are looney? Or is it an unfortunate attempt at playing on lune/moon?
Loon, similar to lune, as in relating to the moon. Menstruation was referred to as "moon time" many years ago because the 28 day cycle mimics a lunar phase.
There are several other brands that reference this:
