I am Sooo sad! You must live close to me, I'm also 15-20 minutes away.
I think we may be priced out too. Which sucks because when they expire (February) DS will just be getting to a slightly easier age (18m)
We also feel bad that DD has been able to go her whole life so far and he won't be able to.
We may end up just getting me and DD the very lowest pass so I can still take the kids during the week.
Also! I knew they would change downtown Disney parking rules! I know so many people that just park there just to take their kids for a few hours and I kept trying to encourage people to stop because I knew they were trying to figure out how to stop that!
Aside from the fact that I have no kids, I live too far from Disney to ever think about getting one of those. It would be like a gym membership but a thousand times worse.

The whole thing sucks and I feel sad and mad!
We live about 10 minutes away too! We also have passes, but won't be renewing them next summer when they expire. I was wondering when they changed the Downtown Disney parking rules. It's been ages since I've parked in that lot. At least my daughter can enjoy it this year. She can ride everything but the roller coaster in CA Adventure so that'll be fun.

How much is the pass? What about a one day? I am deficient in Disney. A friend wanted to take me once a few years ago but I had no interest in spending $60 to walk around in the sweltering heat.
The 2 top passes still include parking, unless I'm misunderstanding it.
Yes they do! We don't even have the top now. We usually have deluxe but got so cal select the last two years (the one you can only renew now, which is pushing us to want to renew)
To PP: The signature is $849 (or something like that) and has 15 block out days around Christmas but has parking other discounts. The top (I don't remember the name) is $1049 and has no black out days, entrance to all 4 parks worldwide, discounts and parking.
The next down is like $600 I think with limited saturday's, major holidays and some summer days.
The lowest is $329 but you can basically only to Monday-Thursday during the school year (no weekend, summer or holidays)
To add parking is $199 or pay $18 each time.
A day ticket to one park is $99 and a bit more to include CA
(I read these details this morning and am now half asleep feeding my son so they aren't exact)
I will still want to renew. I've been going since I was a kid and I love it there.
We weren't going to Renew last year but the evening of our last day (we have the renew only pass) we decided too! We just couldn't give it up. So I think at the very least we will get the lowest pass for DD and I.
My H is kind of over it at this point and doesn't love it like I do so we don't often go on Sunday/evening anymore
They raised parking to $20 in WDW. Which blows my mind.
We no longer buy the Premier Passport. It was $749 the first year we got it. It is now $1439, which is nearly double, in just three years time. That is INSANE.
We pay monthly and I wonder if we are grandfathered in. I will have DH call today and find out. What did they change about the downtown Disney parking?
If your pass expires by the end of October you can renew under old prices I believe. Parking can only be added to renewed passes that already had parking.
I've always defended Disney's prices by saying they were on par with Mammoth lift tickets or professional sporting events. I'm not sure I can do that now.

Ugh that stinks. We are holding on strong to our CA one that includes Sundays that is no longer available. I think we will continue with it so we don't lose it.
I can't believe Disneyland took away free parking with passes when world added it to all passes. We have a weekday pass and it will now included parking which we are excited about, even though we have ways around paying to park.

I had an annual pass in college. It was $200. #old

How many people to a pass?
I would assume it's one. These passes have your name and picture on them so you can't share them.
I am used to a theme park season pass selling for the equivalent of 2 visits, not almost 10. Then again, it's only summer where I live, vs year round.
Still, you'd need to go almost once a month to just break even, which seems crazy to me.
Exactly! We just bought Season Passes to Six Flags (includes a water park) for next season and included the rest of this season (2 months) and parking for $53 each. I totally get that Six Flags is no Disney, but the price difference isn't justified, IMO, especially when a one day pass has only a $40 difference.

Just looking at Disneyland, it doesn't seem like that much of an increase (up 9-10%, aside from the SoCal passes which they seem like they're trying to phase out at an 18% increase). Or is it just that they keep increasing the prices?
"The new price for a Deluxe pass, with some Saturday and peak-holiday-period blackouts, went up $50, to $599. Southern California passes, which are only available for renewals, increased to $459 from $389. The cheapest pass – Southern California Select – went to $329 from $299."
We did an annual pass once when we knew we had 2 trips planned to WDW in one year.
I am more upset they got rid of the non expiring option. We would purchase the 10 day passes and were able to get a few trips on one pass!
Ahh, the good old days
You can still get the no expiration add-on - you just have to ask for it since it's not advertised. It's still a shit load of money but it's so nice to be able to buy the large passes to drop the price per day down to something that's a little more tolerable.
(at least I'm 95% sure this is still an option - I haven't looked at tickets since the spring so something may have changed)
Eta: now I remember..... You have to buy them through Mouse Savers.
this will not keep us from renewing. the signature pass is sufficient - we don't go to the parks during the holidays anyway, so all it does is raise the price by like $50 a year and adds digital downloads of photos. works for me.
