I got mine about 2-3 weeks ago at work. For free. My insurance considers it preventive care so there's no cost.
DS got his within a few days of me, at his 2.5 yr well visit.
DH may get one. He's terrified of needles and often faints. He has to lay down when poked with needles. Feet elevated. The works. It takes a lot of convincing.
There's an intradermal version available now; one of the versions of Fluzone. The needle is super tiny. The downside is that it hurts more when you're getting it, and the arm tends to hurt more and have more swelling. I'm assuming it probably costs more if insurance doesn't cover it, too, but not sure. They have a store locator on their website, which is kind of neat.
I'd just point out the super tiny needle and not mention anything else I mentioned here. He can compare and contrast and then decide what to go with next year.

Man, mine hurt for about three days, which is crazy. And, the day I got mine I passed out cold at some point in the afternoon and woke up three hours later drenched in sweat.
Got mine last week for free at my doctor. No kid or DH but my dog did get the canineflu vax. Lol.
We haven't gone yet. I am debating waiting until DD's 5 year check up in December, but I will probably bring them in sooner. I'd like to just get it done this month.

Where did you get it? Have not gotten one yet. My work clinic wad today and DD'S school clinic is next week. I will probably ask for one before I leave the hospital. How much did it cost? It'll be free Did your kids get one? She will at daycare next week Did your dh? Yes. He's type 1 diabetic and gets it as soon as it is available. If you have not gotten one this year, will you do so? yes

I got mine at cvs and it was free. I got mine already because I am going to visit my newborn niece. DS is getting his the 24th. Our ped clinic has them set up a few Saturdays each season. DH hasn't but is planning to.
Where will you get it? Will get it at my follow up on the 23rd along with my first round of revaccination post transplant. I will have a horrible miserable weekend. How much did it cost? Entire visit $35-$170 depending on how things get billed for getting it done at the hospital. They like to claim everything as a hospital procedure. The other one I go to I just get the facility copay. It would be no copay at PCP/CVS etc. I could also get it at work, but doc wants to monitor possible reactions. Did your kids get one? N/A Did your dh? Yes earlier this week at work If you have not gotten one this year, will you do so? Yep. Appointment is scheduled
Mid-November isn't too late, right? I'm going to the ob/gyn then and could get it done then (if I go to Rite Aid or whatever before then my stupid insurance will charge a $40 copay). But will suck it up and pay if it would be foolish/selfish to wait.
I tried earlier this week but the lady at Walgreens couldn't figure out how to charge my insurance. I'll probably try again tomorrow somewhere else. My kids have an appointment scheduled for the 17th.

I was going to go today but didn't have time. I tried Monday and it was a 30 min wait. I'll try again tomorrow. I go to target because that's where my insurance prefers. It's free. My h gets his at work next week for free.

I cannot (strong allergic reaction, would like to avoid that again) but DH will get his at work (free) and I'll take the kids for the mist when our pediatrician's office gets them in ($40).
Mine will be free at work later this month. I'll prob schedule H and the kids for around the same time. His work always talks about doing them for free, but then they don't get many takers so they cancel the flu shot clinic.
I hope it covers the right strains this year, my oldest son and I still ended up with Influenza A last year and it was the worst!
Not yet. DH and I will both get ours this weekend or next week, before he changes jobs. i don't think there's a waiting period for his new insurance to start, but I'd rather just get them out of the way.
Oh - insurance will cover it. We'll go wherever the best promotion is - most likely Walgreens, CVS, or the grocery store.
