Where did you get it? Getting it tomorrow at DD2's daycare. How much did it cost? Ins. covered it Did your kids get one? DD1-yes. They were out when I took DD2. Did your dh? No. He needs to for work, so he will. He usually goes to the day they do it at daycare, but is OOT.
Totally spaced my appointment at my work clinic yesterday am going next week now. Zero dollars N/A He'll get his at his next oncology appointment.
Get your shots people! I don't give a damn if you 'never get the flu'. And the shot doesn't give you the flu either. If you touch an office door handle, use a public restroom or a shopping cart during your day, you're indirectly in contact with immunocompromised people. Please protect them by getting your shot!
I'm surprised you can get the shot. I couldn't while H was going thru treatments...but we had a whole list of things to do during flu season to protect ourselves (and were basically hermits). It'll be weird to go into a store from late October thru mid-April. It's already been different to not wear a mask in the stores.
Where did you get it? I'm getting it next week but it will be onsite at my work. How much did it cost? Covered by insurance Did your kids get one? N/A Did your dh? He will next week. If you have not gotten one this year, will you do so? See above.

I got mine at my OB appointment 2 weeks ago. My H and son will get theirs sometime in the next two weeks when I'm home on maternity leave, so I can help wrangle our son for his. 100% covered under my insurance.
I get it for free at work. DH can get it here for like $10 or something, but he works out of town, so he did not - and will probably be too lazy to get it. So if he gets the flu, it's all his fault.
DH, DS, and I are all scheduled to get it at our PCP's office Monday afternoon. I think the insurance covers it so it should be free or less than $5 each.
I learned something new this year. There are 2 types of flu vaccines-trivalent and quadrivalent. One covers 3 flu strands and the other covers 4. My employers gives free flu shots to employees but it's just the tri one. I've gotten the flu every year for a few years. So starting this year I'm getting the quad one at my PCP's office. My dr said most employers and some other places only do the tri because it's cheaper.
Where did you get it? Last OB appointment How much did it cost? Free! Did your kids get one? Yes, by default since we share a blood supply, lol Did your dh? Not yet but I think they do them at his work free so probably then If you have not gotten one this year, will you do so?
I just got an email from work that they will offer them for free next week, so I'll do that. My H is required to get one for work and he already got his, also free. Baby will get one at pedi office, but waiting for her to get better first.
Where did you get it? My work did an event for it. How much did it cost? Free, but I think they billed my ins. Did your kids get one? Sparkybaby is getting round 1 on Saturday, round 2 at her 9 month in Nov. Did your dh? He'll get his at the Fire Dept whenever they get it set up. If you have not gotten one this year, will you do so?

Interesting!
When my Mom had her transplant, they were all "Everyone in your universe including you must get the flu shot!" They did say not to get the mist though, since it is still live.
Doctors, man. Can they make one recommendation please?

Why couldn't you, I don't understand? I worked with transplant patients, some of which had cancer and everyone around them needed the shot to further reduce their chances of getting the flu from one of their caregivers.
Now that my Mom is gone I not longer can get the pneumonia vaccine covered by insurance. Which stinks. I want to be vaccinated for ALL OF THE THINGS.
My coworker just told me she has never had a flu shot in her life because she doesn't believe in the. It's a good thing it was over text because my face was like
Someone told me that line once. I may have looked her straight in the face and said "Its not the Easter Bunny."

I'm getting mine tomorrow at my doctor's medical office after my OB appointment. It will be free. I hope I can convince H to get one tomorrow too since he'll be at the appointment with me. H is such a baby when it comes to needles.

The flu shot is killed virus though, there shouldn't have been any reason you couldn't get the shot even if he couldn't. DH got his shot last year while on chemo, his oncology clinic nurse gave it to him.
I know your H was on a lot of different treatments though, maybe it was related to one of those specifically.

They had them at Hopkins and I could get them at work. Their preference was for me to not get the shot. We didn't go to any stores and I wore a mask at work when coworkers were sick. I took a shower as soon as I got home and kept dirty clothes in the guest bathroom. Thankfully he never got the flu.
Where did you get it? a pharmacy How much did it cost? covered by insurance. would have been $26 without. Did your kids get one? no kids Did your dh? nope. he may at work as i know his company does offer them at some point. If you have not gotten one this year, will you do so? n/a (this is the first time in my lyfe i've gotten a flu shot...and only because i was getting other immunizations today for upcoming travel. ::ducks:

I got it last Friday at my post partum checkup. They are free with our insurance (kaiser) but they usually require you to go to the flu shot clinic. This new option of doing it while you're waiting for the doc is awesome. I'll take my daughter when I can an she'll just go to the clinic. I'll hound my husband and he'll probably never go.
Where did you get it? Not Yet How much did it cost? Will be covered by Insurance. Did your kids get one? Need to make that appointment... Did your dh? He never does...bleh. If you have not gotten one this year, will you do so? YES! At my work I think on the 21st.

Where did you get it? Little Clinic at Kroger How much did it cost? For free! (Insurance) Did your kids get one? We actually went for her to get it (our Pedi's office gets a wait list and very few places have the one for kids under 5), so I just got tacked on. Did your dh? I keep teasing him about being the only one in the family not to get it. His office usually has an event for it, but he may just get it the next time we're at Target or Kroger or wherever. If you have not gotten one this year, will you do so? N/A

So I just got mine, and there were 2 to choose from. One has an additional strain and is more expensive. My insurance covered it, so I went for it, but the pharmacist said that the CDC hadn't stated that the additional strain coverage is necessary. I mean, it's all kind of a gamble anyway, but this is the first time I've been offered a choice, other than mist vs shot, etc.
Where did you get it? haven't yet, but will get it at my doc in about a week How much did it cost? should be covered by insurance Did your kids get one? yes at his visit last month Did your dh? will get it at work next week If you have not gotten one this year, will you do so? Yes, I get one every year.
Where did you get it? At the pediatrician How much did it cost? It'll be $35 Did your kids get one? Yes - they're getting the mist on Tuesday. I'm piggybacking on their appointment. Did your dh? He'll get his for free at work on Tuesday, also.
