im spending 5 weeks with the kids at the end of October with the kids at our place there. Normally I'm only there for a week or so, we just do the beach and pool and stuff.
are there any activities or rec centres, drop in programs etc for young kids? They will be 1.5 and 3.5.i looked on the library website but can't find much.
pm me if you don't want it out there where you're from
Are you going to be here for Halloween? Delray has a big thing going on that Saturday at the Old School Square where the kids can TOT on the Ave. 11:30-4
Barrel-o-monkey's is fun and they have open gym a few different times a week.
Bedner's Farm does hayrides/pumpkins/corn maze, and tons of other things.

My brain isn't working well. Let me think more.
We arrive nov 1! Too bad. Halloween we will probably be in TN or GA. We leave fri night from canada.
I will look into the other two you mentioned!
Any gyms with childcare? Not a big deal as my Inlaws will watch the kids so I can go to their gym (palm beach gym or something like that) but if there was a gym with childcare i would use that for sure
There's a lifetime in Boca on Yamato that I think is fairly new. I grew up in Fort Lauderdale but have family in Boca and we visit ~once a month in the winter.
Also close to there is the Morikami museum and japanese gardens (http://morikami.org/) which are so fun to walk around at! I like taking DD to the Boca Art Museum in Mizner Square (our family is all over that place, if you go I'll have to tell you where to find us!). The shops are a bit more upscale there but it's a fun park and square for kids to run around at and throw things into the fountains. There's a large branch of the library near Dixie Hwy or Federal, I can't remember off the top of my head. You drive right past it on the flyover if you're heading to Boca from the FLL airport. I also love going to Town Center mall but that's mostly because the stores are so much better there than in CO! Not really anything fun there for DD We also go to the beach at Red Reef Park because you can park close and it's an easy walk with a well maintained section of the beach.
My all time favorite restaurant there is a BYOB Cuban food in a 7-11 strip mall called Caribbean Grille. It is so fresh and delicious! And since it's BYOB, it's hard to spend a lot of money there. I have a couple other restaurant rec's in Fort Lauderdale too if you want them.
We go down twice a year to visit my husband's grandmother. Last time we went to Gumbo Limbo Nature Center which was fun. We went to the Wow factory which was an indoor play place. It was just ok. We have also gone on a boat ride down the intercostal and to a children's museum in Fort Lauderdale. Last year we went to this drive through safari which was awesome but I can't remember the name.
I forgot about Gumbo Limbo! We used to go there for field trips all the time. And the MODS (museum of discovery and science) is so neat. It's a bit of a drive but worth it.

Boynton Children's Museum (Boca has one too but it's smaller) Barrel o monkeys Bees Knees (in the Boynton mall) Look on the Palm Beach County library site for story hours (also Boynton city, Delray city, and Spanish river libraries) Coconut Cove water park Palm Beach Zoo Lake Ida park Patch Reef park Sugar sand park
The Schoolhouse Children's Museum is in Boynton. It's good for smaller kids. They have a big outdoor castlelike play area (but beware I found a condom wrapper there once lol). They have classes and programs there, but not sure about drop-off at that age. Boca has a Children's Museum.
Sugar Sand Park is really nice with a big castle like set also. They have a carousel and a small science museum on-site. They often do activities from what I can tell (I live farther north, but have gone down there from time to time). Maybe via Parks & Recs so check out their site.
I love Veteran's Park in Delray.
There is decent library programming, just depends on what you can catch and what branches are closest to you.
The Museum of Science and Discovery is great, but I think more for older kids than your. There's been a Groupon running for the Miami Zoo (it may expire soon though) and also there is a decent smaller zoo in West Palm along with another science museum nearby. Lion Country Safari in West Palm is fun for an outing and they have a groupon right now too
Do some googling, there are a lot of fall fests in the area this time of year...although a lot are this month. I bet you'll spend 90% of your time at the beach and pool. It's starting to "cool off" and it's so nice to be outside.
