I haven't talked about this because I wasn't sure it was actually going to happen, but the sign is in our yard now.
A family friend of H's family had a house they were selling after his mom died. It's not 100% perfect, but is something we can grow into and hopefully be there the next 20 years.
It was built in 1972 and hasn't been updated since. I'm kind of excited to redo things the way I want them done, but nervous about all the renovations. We'll be doing the renovations over the next several years because we were not planning on moving for a couple of years.
So now we have to keep our house show ready with a baby and a dog. House inventory is relatively low around here, so we're optimistic we can sell quickly.
Good luck tacocat! I hear ya on keeping the house show ready with a baby...can't even imagine adding a dog too. Hope it sells fast so it's short-lived! Excited for you guys!

Thanks! Have y'all listed yet or are you finding a new place first?

We've been listed for a week now. We had two showings the first day and nothing since. We have a bunch of realtors touring on Tues. Hope it sells fast but at the same time we don't love anything in new city and don't want to move twice. Good luck! You have done the very hard part of finding a new home...hopefully selling goes smoothly and fast!
luv2rn4fun Good luck to y'all too! I know what you mean about finding something else. That's one of the reasons we're moving now is because I do not want to do the whole house hunting thing in a couple of years and have to look at numerous houses.

Thank you! We were trying to hold off til Spring/Summer 2016. But, we knew our mind was made up, DH's commute is taking it's toll as is all the house maintenance, and we plan to TTC starting 2016 so could potentially be pregnant during that time. Doing this with a baby is hard enough...can't really imagine baby and being pregnant.
All the houses we are looking at seem to just be old and outdated, or some are old and have some updates but would still need work. After all the work we did here in 2014 I'm so over house projects...just the thought of another project makes me want to puke. I'm hoping we find something we are ok living with for a couple years before any huge remodeling (would like to get away with just painting for now, wishful thinking though).
