Quick question about Rock n Plays. My twins are 2.5 weeks old. They spit up a lot when they are flat on their backs, so they have been spending a ton of time in their RNPs both day and night. They sleep really well in there.
We try to hold them as much as possible, but that becomes somewhat difficult with 2. I'd like to reduce the amount of time they are spending in the RNPs, but honestly don't know where to put them when we can't hold them.
My sis uses Boppy Loungers for her twins (also boy/girl, 3 weeks old today!). I used one for my dd who had reflux. I love it because baby doesn't fall down through it like with a regular boppy, they are super portable, and keep baby slightly inclined but still free to move. It's nice to have an alternative to another device.
My newborn spends her time on me in the solly wrap being worn, literally laying on me if I'm on the couch, in the mamaroo or her bounceroo. She loves being worn and the bounceroo, mamaroo is hit or miss.
My twins hang out in the Twin Z breast feeding pillow. It also works well for tummy time and is starting to help provide some support as they try to sit up.
Thanks guys! I think we will move them around from hanging out on us, wearing them (we have an ergo and a mei tai), and putting them in the boppy loungers or bouncy seat.
We'll probably keep the rock n plays for nighttime for now.
The bouncer seat is where I put Owen after eating if I need to get stuff done. Or I wear him in my ring sling. He likes both. He loves his swing but has a tendency to get motion sick if I put him in there within 30 minutes of eating. I can however put him there without it swinging and just turn on the music and mobile portions.
Mine lived in their RNPs at first. They had slept in them at night till 5 mos. Around 2 or 3 mos I bought snugabunny bouncers and that's what they were in during the day. They still napped in the RNP until they went to cribs. DD would also nap in the swing. Mine were spitters too so they helped.
