So, after the last thread, I bought the sample pack. I don't feel like I'm smellier than normal, maybe a tad more odor, but nothing major. I'm noticeably more sweaty though. Is this something that will get better with time? I don't like the feeling at all. I realize it isn't an anti-perspirant, but I'm hoping it might become more effective and/or my body will adjust.
my body went through a purging period. i just went without anything for like a week to speed the process up. maybe it would be better to wait until it's cooler out so you sweat less anyway?
you're body will adjust eventually.
Alright. I'll just keep on with it. I don't really want to go back to using degree and it isn't that bad. I mostly only notice it when it's really warm, like at the pumpkin patch today. It should be quite a bit cooler here pretty soon anyway. It's unseasonably warm at the moment.

I love this stuff! I agree on the taking time thing! It took a few weeks before I felt secure that my sweat would not stink. Still sweat for sure though! But I'm definitely not pitting out of my shirts!
I want to try this whole deodorant detox thing, but I'm scared.
Someone needs to organize a week-long retreat/getaway for women going through this process, so that we can return to our lives and jobs relatively unscathed.

Yeah, I'm constantly checking myself at work, as if there's anything I can do about it while I'm there. lol
Yeah, I wore regular deodorant at Disney because my home made stuff doesn't travel well. I sweated so much more, and I smelled bad. Not like BO, but not good. I think the baking soda in the home made version/Primal pit paste really kills the smelly skin bacteria or something. The regular deodorant was just trying unsuccessfully to cover it up. It was horrible. I can't believe I wore that my whole life.
Yeah I have it in an empty deodorant stick that I bought on Amazon. I don't keep mine in the fridge and don't really need to since its solid at room temp. I had it in a ziplock, but there was a huge white pasty mess in my toiletry bag so I tossed it and bought normal deodorant for the week.
I make my own deodorant and I was shocked at how much I sweat at first. It's not as much now but if it's hot I'm damp and I'm okay with that. The most surprising thing is how before I smelled slight odor after the gym or at the end of a hot day and now I can skip a day and smell nothing at all. I think deodorant made me stink
Do you have the recipe handy? I may graduate to this at some point.
