Wakeup #2 here. DD's not back to sleep and is making the creepiest grunting noises. Plus she's clawing the fabric of her RNP with her fingernails, which makes a creepy sound. Creepiest baby on the block!
farmvillelover sounds like it could be a wonder week...there is one typically around 8 weeks
I nearly drowned DS earlier with gripe water... Why do the stupid syringes get stuck for the final bit and then release all at once? Poor kid was coughing or a long time after I shot the last of the liquid in his mouth...
Wake up #2 here. I got some good early stretches of sleep during DHs "shift" so I'm doing okay. I wish we could fit in just one long stretch a night. She will be 4 weeks Wednesday and it's still pretty much 2.5 hours between feedings at night. I think we need to work more at getting her to sleep in the bassinet, I think that might help with some longer stretches?
I don't know what wakeup it is if your kid hasn't let you fall asleep yet. We are having a no good crazy gassy night.
Ditto.
It's 1130pm here and he's been basically awake since freaking 5pm. Trying to sleep, sleepy, fighting it, drifting into sleep but never good enough to STAY asleep. Yes we've tried everything so now we're on our last option which is feeding him another bottle and hoping he fills up and passes out.
Sigh.
almost 7 weeks old is too old for this newborn behavior.
Mine has done that a couple times in the last week. I thought maybe we broke her and this would be our lives forever, one baby who never sleeps, but then she went back to normal. I feel better that I guess this is a thing in week 6.
None of that helps you tonight though. Hope he goes to sleep soon.
I was fooled last night with that wonderful 5.5 hour stretch! Tonight it was about 4 hours. And since the IL's have the older kids overnight DH and I had a mini date night at home, so I stayed up later after she went down and only slept about 2 hours myself.
She just pooped while nursing. So I changed her, reswaddled and am now nursing on the other side to hopefully get her back to sleep quickly.

A has a viral infection and croup. She keeps getting up coughing. So we snuggle, she goes back down, and I'm up for an hour. Just as I go back to sleep, rinse and repeat
I must have been more tired than I thought for wakeup #1. I nurse E in bed, with pillows propped behind my head. I latched him on at 1, and leaned back and closed my eyes. Next time I opened my eyes, it was 45 minutes later! Oops. What woke me was E relatching himself. I seriously didn't know I had even fallen asleep, it felt like no time at all.

That's definitely happened to me a few times. Then my neck is always so sore!
Wake up #2 after just 2 hours. Boo! And I keep having weird dreams and not sleeping well at all. I think I'm handing her off to DH after this feeding to try and get a couple hours to sleep alone.
Yes, he isn't in pain, he just wakes up every 90-120 minutes.
Got it. Well I'm glad the meds are helping with his pain. I've said it before, I wish I lived closer so could come over and give you a stretch of sleep. =(
You are sweet. DH does do this..., which generally helps. This morning was just a particularly bad morning.
