I'm up nursing DD2 and hoping she will doze again for a little bit. Everyone else is asleep still. She keeps ripping these forceful farts so I am not optimistic. I must nail down a christening lunch location today. MUST.
I got more or less a full night of sleep! DH did both overnight feedings and slept in the guest room with the baby monitor. I still woke up for a few minutes twice, but got back to sleep quickly.
H and I went to dinner and a movie last night so I didn't get to sleep until late. It was fun but I'm so cranky now...is it even worth it to have a date night when inevitably we end up exhausted and grouchy the next day? Ugh. And I'm not even hung over!
They seriously were perplexed when I said my TWO YEAR OLD could not sit in a different row than both of her parents.
Oh I think I would have played that up so much. "OK sure, can you give us her seatmates so we can let them know all of her quirks during the flight? We'll make sure she has snacks and water, but if you could see if they have a tablet she could use that would be great!"
I mean, seriously, I am amazed at the stupidity of people.
Ugh, my animals have had me awake on and off since I 4am. C woke up at 6:15 and was sitting up in his bed calling out for me. I tried the microphone on his video monitor to tell him to lay down and that it was still sleeping time. He looked confused, laid down, but sat back up a moment later.
I was having a dream about my bass player crush at 4am when the dog first woke me up and was so frustrated that I couldn't get the dream back!

Worse than a toddler that wakes up at 615: a toddler that wakes up at 615, runs around turning on every light they can find (new skill!), stopping to come in my bedroom and turn on the blaring radio alarm clock, then pulls all the cushions off the couch yelling, "where's my apple? Daddy ate my apple!"
Did you have your coffee already this morning, kid?
I ended up skipping the wedding yesterday and taking the kids to my grandma's for Thanksgiving. We had a great time and everyone was like "we're sorry not sorry your plans fell through" haha. Ds2 ate so much it put him into a 12hr food coma so I got a nice sleep this morning Also, according to dh, the wedding was dry, information that was not made clear to us earlier! So at least I didn't miss out on drunk good times!

I have a crying hangover from last night. I didn't want to go hang out with my ILs and my H decided it was better to make me happy than them. Except it came with guilt so it wasn't really what I wanted.
We had a good talk and I went to bed happy though, but my eyes are swollen and I have a headache.
We are going to go to the Zoo this morning when it opens
I woke up early for no reason. I haaaaate that. We're in a hotel but got a suite room so that Bas could sleep separately from us but nope, he and I are just quietly awake super early. Grumble.

We went to my parent's house for dinner last night. Got in the car at 6:15 and got home just before 8:00. L was awake and alert for the first hour, slept for 20 minutes, woke up screaming, and continued to scream for the last 20 minutes. It took me about 20 minutes to calm him down when we got home and then he slept 8:15-5:15. He went to sleep almost two hours later than normal and slept an extra 15 minutes. I'll never know what it's like to have the mythical kind of kid who can stay up later and just make it up by sleeping in or taking a longer nap. Nope, not my kid.
I'm totally creating a bad habit by bringing C into bed with me on weekend mornings to watch cartoons. He now asks for "TB!" when he wakes up, but it means I don't have to be totally "on" yet. But it also means we've had like an hour of screen time before the day even starts.

Oh, but two good things.
L said his first 3 word sentence today and it was, "more cookie please"! #moty Yes, I gave him an arrowroot cookie at 7:00 in the morning. He was finished his breakfast and I was trying to keep him in the high chair long enough so I could finish my tea when it was still hot.
And the best thing ever! We're going to my inlaws today and after dinner, I'm coming back home but H and L are staying there overnight! I'll get like 24 hours of alone time in my house!
Ben woke up early so he's watching Mickey while I pump. DH and Ethan still sleeping. We are going to a Chowderfest today during nap time. Eek I'm nervous.
Incredibly petty complaint: when I've told people that I'm pregnant, most of them say "oh that's why you moved!" No. We moved on a whim because we found an awesome house and the pregnancy timing was more or less a coincidence. We were already ttc at that point, but were debating backing off for a few months. And I know it's just making conversation but it's almost like "ohhhhhhh, I solved the mystery of Vicmo's new house!" What? No.
"I thought you must be pregnant [w/ #3] when you bought the minivan!" said my ILs (who had 2 kids and a minivan).

We base everything in our life on what we call "J time". 9pm movie? No way, J's up at 5:30. We are in bed by 10 at the latest every night. It would have to be a really special event to be up much later. It's just not worth it when you know your toddler will be up so early.
DS2 dances now. He holds on to one of our chairs and when the music starts he pumps his little legs and then runs in place. I can't figure out where he learned it, god knows DH and I aren't big dancers unless DH is going all out when I'm not here.
I neeeeed some time alone today. If h leaves with O, I am going to neglect homework and housework for at least thirty minutes to just sit on the couch by myself.

Lol. It was a 7:15 movie. But 10:30 by the time we were home thanks to a long movie and 30 minutes of damn previews beforehand.

Daycare? DD and M would tear around the room when there was music playing. She even throws in some random ballet moves (raises one leg behind her), I have no idea where she learned them
I slept until 7:15, much needed after staying up past midnight the last 2 nights. We have gymnastics and a "welcome baby" party for a friend's 6 month old today, and then my parents are coming over for dinner and to take over when we leave at the butt crack of dawn tomorrow.
I think I'm leaving the kids with DH and going to the mall for a few hours today. The problem with this is that the house probably isn't going to be picked up with him outnumbered, so we're both going to be on edge all week until we manage to get it straightened up. Ugh. A trip to the mall with no children is worth it, though, I think.

It's my morning to sleep in, but of course I woke up early. I'm laying in bed until they leave for the grocery store. Donuts from the orchard are calling my name.
We are at my parents' this weekend so I got to sleep in today and yesterday.
I was not a fan of living in the middle of nowhere growing up, but it is so nice for the girls. They have so much fun running around. Today we are picking pumpkins from the garden.
