I hate this phase so much. DD2 will throw food if there is a bite in her mouth and then demand more. I just try to ignore her when she does it and only give her a bite at a time.
I only gave her a little bit at a time. She would start throwing when she was either full or didn't like something, so eventually I "trained" her to put whatever she didn't like or want in the corner of her high chair. She will still throw a piece sometimes, but I will say "If you're done, put it in the corner" and she'll put the next 2 pieces over there.
This is the worst. The best thing I try is giving one piece at a time. I find my DD does it more if she's especially tired as well, so I try to avoid that as much as I can.

Yea, we try everything when it comes to this. If we don't react, she still does it. If we take the food away, next meal she does it. Foods that she usually will eat, she then decides to throw it, so I feel like it's a losing battle. I look forward to the day she just stops already. lol

I forgot to mention that we also have resorted to giving a little at a time or a piece at a time. She either throws it. Or she will chew it up, then spit it out into her hands and throw that. Awesome.

Either ds1 never did this or I've conveniently blocked it from my memory but ds2 is the worse with this. Everything ends up on the floor. I'm lucky if he ends up eating 2 bites before the throwing begins.
Please let this stage end soon! I'm tired of cleaning the floor after every meal.
