Is nursing to sleep horrible? My son is almost 4 months old and that's how I can quickly get him down for the night. My mom was telling me to stop bc I'm creating a bad habit but I really don't mind it since it works so well.
I say if it works, it works. Says the one who nursed DS to sleep until he weaned at 13.5 months.
When do things start to fall into a routine-ish? When do you get to that point where you can more or less estimate a "good time for..."?
Did your stiches sting? They did at first, then they didn't, and now they do again. Should I have H investigate?
DS is about 3.5 months old and just when I think we've got a routine going, he switches things up. I know he has to eat about every three hours and that he can't go more than 1.5-2 hours before needing a nap, but the actual times that those things happen change day to day.
I had one spot that started to sting a few weeks after I gave birth. I thought I popped a stitch, but was too scared to look, so I just ignored it and hoped it would get better. Luckily it did and there was nothing wrong at my 6 week exam.
1. When did you stop using the changing pad/table? Not age, but by what milestone? Like, when they could stand unassisted, did you switch to something else? What did you switch to? C's daycare room still uses the changing pad, but he hates it at home. But he can't stand on his own yet, so I don't know what else to do. Changing him on the floor is worse because he just tries to crawl away.
2. When did you start using bubble bath?
1. Just a month ago when she was 20 months old. She was starting to really thrash a lot, which she'd been doing for a while, but since she's so big now it didn't feel safe all of the sudden. She's 27/28lb and tall and I had trouble controlling her. I just moved the changing pad to the floor. She does so much better with it honestly. I think she was starting to realize how unsafe it was that high up!

Yes!!! Same as you! About a week out I was actually really nervous that things were pulled out or infected or something because of the sting/ache around them. It was over the weekend, so Monday I called and they asked if I had a fever or anything (no) and if it was still painful in a couple of days to call back. She said it was probably everything tightening/pulling together and healing. Ugh. I used a bunch of dermo plast and within 3-4 days of the awful pain it was feeling better. I'm still really achy down there but it's not stitches anymore, more like muscle pain? (2 weeks out)
