(1) I let V walk down the stairs without supervision for the first time. (2) mom found a piano bar that is her speed, and they meet WEEKLY. It's Sunday afternoon, so not the best time slot from our perspective, but it's a place she can go and hang out with people her age.
sjh722 my mom must have seen I liked your LuLaRoe Boutique on Facebook and thought it was the name of a store. So she called me and was like, "Oh my gosh where is LuLaRoe Boutique? They have such cute clothes. We should go!" Which I totally agree but sadly you're many states away. So I had to explain what it was and what LuLaRoe is. So we're going to try to find a consultant around here that she can connect with and try on the clothes. She's 65 so I think that would be better than doing flash sales on Facebook for her.

PM me where she lives and I'll see if I can find her someone in my group.
I want beer. The good beer store up the street is closed. I don't want bodega beer so I may actually have to get in the car. Annoyed.
I also realized in order to go on our two week Aruba vacation I can't use ANY PTO between now and then. Good luck to me telling our parents we are skipping Thanksgiving.
Today was productive. We went to Nordstrom and exchanged a fleece someone gifted DD and BBB and got a white noise/nightlight combo that we are hoping will make our lives easier. We also ended up having to buy an outfit for DD and BBB cause she had a blowout and I forgot to replace the spare outfit in the diaper bag. Atleast we were somewhere we could buy her clothes?
This afternoon was football, naps, and cleaning up the house. I also out he address labels and return address labels on the birth announcements, just need to seal the envelopes tomorrow.
I am debating if I should stay up for walking dead tonight. It's my favorite show ever but it's during DH's shift and when I usually sleep. But it's the premier!
yeah the expense is ridiculous. My husband nearly certainly could have made one but I know his perfectionist tendencies would've annoyed the shit out of me. I decided to just pretend the expense never happened.
Yeah. Maybe I can get my parents to go in on it for a Christmas present. I mean, I'd just go buy one but we are bleeding money these days with the new house. Lol.
Check Craigslist or whatever you have up there in Canada land. If you have the space, The Learning Tower is totally worth the money though. Plus, when you're done with it the resale is great!

aren't you going to Aruba with them?
Nope just us.
Update I texted and my mom says she understands but "we'll talk." Maybe people will come here for once? Won't hold my breath.
I should be trying to nap before work tonight but I think I am going to make brownies instead. I am going to regret this tomorrow when I am up all day with DD.
I'm currently hiding in the living room eating apple crisp so SS doesn't see and ask for some. I know H couldn't care less and C is down to bed. Clearly I don't share well with others when it comes to apple crisp. Plus the kid already ate my expensive SweeTango apple this afternoon. Doesn't he know I buy the cheapies for him and C and keep the $4/lb varieties for myself!?

I'm sitting alone in my living room eating left over pumpkin pie and drinking tea while my H and L are 90 km away at my inlaw's house. H has even decided to stay an extra day so I'm alone until Tuesday! Bliss!

It was a good day here. Generally enjoyable moods for everyone, great weather, lots of activity. I'm going to make my step goal this week if it kills me!
Just watching Paw Patrol now, dreading tomorrow. Monday and I'm solo duty. DS is always such an emotional freak on Mondays.

I have conferences tomorrow and Tuesday nights which make for long days. Wednesday I have conferences 8-12 but only one person is signed up for that day and it's right away in the morning so then I have the rest of the time to work in my room. I'm done with the work week on Wednesday at noon. So its a 4 1/2 day weekend for me. Yay!

Make sure all alarms and cell phones are off for tomorrow and Tuesday morning. Lol.
Ha! I haven't set an alarm in ages. I have a human alarm and he's far, far away right now! I do have to work on Tuesday so I'll need to set one then but 7:00 is so, so much better than 4:30!
H is OOT for the first time since the baby came and it's 430pm and I'm panicking a bit. He'll be back tomorrow afternoon but it is stressful. And no, no one I can call on for help (I already tried 2 sitters) so it's all me.
Guys, both my older kids scored their first goals at soccer today!!!! (DS1 had TWO goals and an assist! Considering he usually cries for about half of each game, this is huge). DD loves soccer but isn't all that good about getting in there, usually just runs with the pack. Today, she got in there at the end of the game, stole the ball and dribbled it all the way down the field and scored. She was SO excited with herself.
I don't care about the actual scoring of the goals. But to see how thrilled they were, gah, it was so awesome. We went out for ice cream afterwards.
Then the baby peed in the potty before bath time. It all happening!
I might be a few beers in, not going to lie. But today rocked.

I love my neighborhood parents Yahoo group. I put out a request for a 20 inch bike for A and had two responses within minutes.
She rode to the market again and her bike just looks uncomfortable.
I asked her what color she wanted, so I could specify on my post if she wanted a girl vs. boy bike and she replied, "I like all the colors", which made me happy.
So how uncool will I be if I buy myself a selfie stick? I'm about done with my H's complete disinterest in taking pictures. His cell phone camera has been broken since before DS was born, but won't get it fixed. If I hand him my cell or the DSLR he will fire off a few quick ones, like literally of my back as I'm walking to the spot I want to be or while I'm talking to him, then put it away.
He suggested monthly photo sessions with a pro (WTF) to compensate but I'd like to have some "in the moment" pictures. A selfie stick is the best workaround I can think of.
Of all freaking things to continually fight about.

You guys, I'm so responsible. I just took a shower, took all my pills and the stupid mouth wash my dentist prescribed me all before 9:30pm. Now let's see if I actually fall asleep at a decent time.
