Also my kid is so.freaking.adorable when she's asleep. I went in to fix her blanket and she was curled up snuggling with her Spot the dog. Just looked so little and peaceful.

Today was the first day I enjoyed life and my baby. Yay! :-)
I am sad that DS looks like me. But I am finally getting "mommy eyes" and am finding him adorable. :-) it helps that DH is here to help with the baby load. And it's awesome to see him be a dad. I am scared about his business trip at the end of the month.
We started watching izombie on Netflix and it's really enjoyable.
Brag plaint: I'm eating so much lately I have no idea how I'm 7lbs away from prepg weight.
Haha. That's just a brag
Can someone explain why a learning tower is better than a folding chair? Cause that's how we roll in the justjen household.
Hugs @sessalee. You can do it farmvillelover! (these tags are probably wrong.)
Some will argue it's not. For us we have the space so the Learning Tower is always at our island. She can climb in and out independently and has been able to since we got it at 16 months. I don't have to worry about her tripping or falling off as it gives her a steady platform to stand on. It puts her up at our level so she can help, see what we're doing, and have a safe place to eat snacks without the dogs being able to reach. We have the easel attachment so that closes off the backside and she loves drawing on it.
I didn't want one that folded because I just don't trust them like I do the quality of the Learning Tower.

I'm glad you had a nice day. It's so hard in the beginning. Hugs
Why said he looks like you? This changes like every week in my experience.
My husband travels a lot. It's hard but it also sort of builds my confidence each time I find. Hang in there.
justjen I really wanted a learning tower but couldn't stomach the cost, and then one day DS just started dragging chairs up to the counter on his own. Now it would be really redundant. Yay for being MM, DS!
Dd does this already but I was thinking the learning tower would make her more secure as she couldn't fall off. That is why I want one. My concern is the height as right now on the chair, she has to go on her tippy toes to do stuff on the counter.
So how uncool will I be if I buy myself a selfie stick? I'm about done with my H's complete disinterest in taking pictures. His cell phone camera has been broken since before DS was born, but won't get it fixed. If I hand him my cell or the DSLR he will fire off a few quick ones, like literally of my back as I'm walking to the spot I want to be or while I'm talking to him, then put it away.
He suggested monthly photo sessions with a pro (WTF) to compensate but I'd like to have some "in the moment" pictures. A selfie stick is the best workaround I can think of.
Of all freaking things to continually fight about.
I bought one for vacation. It was a pain to carry and "set up" each time.
I'm sick of everything needing something from me and my husband not noticing what needs to be done. I want to just run away for a few days.
But we had pics done this morning and I think they will be so cute. J is such a ham for the camera. She said she doesn't think she'll be able to pick just 10(mini session, 10 pics for 75 bucks). I told her to feel free to give us more
Transitioned DD2 to her big girl bed today. She ran all around her room during nap and didn't sleep but that's not particularly new for her, naps have been tough for a while. At bedtime tonight though she went right down. She didn't even seem to care.
Next transition MAYBE will be moving the girls to share a room. MAYBE. In the meantime I feel sort of bad as both girls are on mattresses on the floor (DD1 in a full, DD2 on her crib mattress) as we try to decide if we are going to have them share a room or not which will impact what kind of bedroom furniture we buy.
Also I bought these pants today (same brand and style, slightly different print) and I have decided to live in them FOREVER and I don't even care if you all judge me because I am going to be so happy in my hippie elephant pants.

I saw someone in hippy elephant pants yesterday, and it made me sad that I gave away my mine in the mid 90's, never mind the fact that they were slightly hideous, and I believe they had cuffs at the ankles.

lololololol
Please tell me you also picked up some Tibetan prayer flags, a "visualized world peace" bumper sticker, and a 55 gallon drum of patchouli.

FIRST of all patchouli stinks
Second, come on, did you just meet me?
Third, they really are only to wear around the house and perhaps on airplanes but I LOVE THEM.
My local moms group is having a hotly contested debate on the best bagel places in our neighborhood.
I can't take seriously the lady who mentioned her favorite is the place that serves mini bagels, because they're less carbs. Who cares about carbs when you're eating a delicious bagel?? (This is why I can't lose weight). I do concede that mini bagels are perfect for kids.
And this lady likes French toast bagels. Not a true NY Bagel!

Don't feel bad! I know adults who sleep on a mattress on the floor. I keep thinking I may give Ben the Queen bed but I am afraid he will hurt himself on the metal frame somehow and he just loves his floor bed. My plan may be wait til Ethan STTN and then get a second floor bed.

I love this.
Next time we go to a show together... and there will be a next time... I am wearing these pants.
