I went to Walmart on Friday to buy another Scenera or a Next for our 3rd car. I'm tired of constantly taking the seat out of DH's SUV and installing it in his sports car. We used to keep the SUV insured in cold months, and sports car in warm. But now we've decided to keep his SUV insured year-round, so it's getting a lot more use.
They were sold out of the next (the new blue is AWESOME, bummer...) and only had the Scenera in a floral print.
I ended up getting the Cosco Highback 2-in-1 in Speckle.
At a glance I couldn't find the expiration date, but it was just manufactured in July, so I'm guessing it's at least 4-6 yrs off. So he won't outgrow it until he's 6-8 yrs old. Perfect. Because it converts to a booster using a standard seatbelt. But the thing is so open and airy (like a Diono) that I expect we'll keep using the 5 point harness for years.
Such a bargain for our 3rd seat. Right now it's in the SUV, but I want to try it out in the sports car to see where we get a better install. The other 2 seats in our cars are Britax and install really well in all vehicles.
We have a Scenera in our friend's car. She has him 4 days per week.
I wish the highback came in solid colors - but in the end, I'm happy we have something that will last him longer.
