Thanks to meltoine, I am getting Lebanese for lunch. Except it's 2:25 and DD is still down for a nap so I'm starving! And it's a 30 min walk to the restaurant.
I took DS to the park and walked laps around the path today. I thought for sure he would start fussing and we would have to leave after 20 minutes or so, but he lasted over an hour and I got 4.5 miles of walking in!
Shit. DD and I are flying home today and our initial flight is delayed. DD is missing her nap and I don't have the charger for the tablet loaded with Daniel Tiger. Pray for me, everyone!

Do any of the airport shops have chargers? I'd shell out a ton of money to get a charger with a napless child.
Today was a magical day. Day care was open and our offices were closed. We went out for a nice breakfast, saw the Martian at AMC cinema suites and went to ikea.

Not at the current one. It's a Podunk airport with 2 gates and one toilet in the waiting area :-| Incould probably pick one up in Seattle.
After over a month of fighting and long phones calls my $4k SL forgiveness check was found. They originally sent it to the wrong client. The SL providers are crediting my account, and reversing all the interest that built up in the year, since the payment should've hit my account in September of 2014. This took countless hours of complaining, conference calls, and follow up to get done, but I won! It pays to be persistent!

My random is that I was handed a letter (sealed and marked confidential) in my manager's meeting today, I was one of about 1/2 of the group that got it. I had a bad feeling about it, but my AVP also got one, so felt better. I opened after the meeting and found out I got a raise! Best.surpise.ever!
Spotify is really grinding my gears lately. The sound just keeps ceasing to work.
The future is hilarious. "I can listen to any song ever, whenever and wherever I want, for free w/ ads or $10/month, BUT THE QUALITY OF SERVICE IS SO LOW. AND IT'S SO HARD TO FIND GOOD HELP THESE DAYS."

But I can't listen to it whenever because the sound is not working!!11!!!1
I mean, it works when I close it and reopen it. But what kind of playlist is that?! I'm going back to mix CDs.
What do the kids these days do when they want to use songs to express their love to each other? "Hey, I made you this playlist on Spotify" doesn't have the same ring. :shakes cane:
My mom called to tell me that she and my dad had just gotten their flu shots to help protect the new baby. I never broached the subject with her, they just took care of it and called to let me know. I suppose if there is any shiny upside to having had an immunocompromised niece it's that it has turned my parents into big supporters of herd immunity.
DD has been napping on me on and off all afternoon. She just woke up though and started sucking on her hand, then started crying when she realized it was her hand and not a nipple. Lol
As soon as she got the real thing she was OK of course.
I made an amazing discovery last night when I put clean sheets on the bed. The Threshold sheets I got from Target have tags on all four sides that say either "top/bottom" or "side" so you know which way the sheets go. We've had these sheets for almost a year and I just discovered this.

I had to replace the paci twice and she fussed a tiny bit, but I got DD to take an almost 2 hour nap in the bassinet. Flat on her back. She's pretty much been sleeping inclined since birth. So I'm hoping I can move towards the bassinet for a while and then the crib.
It is like a hundred degrees outside, DD1 has a cold, DD2 is crazy overtired thanks to trouble transitioning out of the crib (up 2x overnight, up super early this AM, then this afternoon at naptime she tore up her room for over an hour and then fell asleep LITERALLY 5 minutes before I had to get her up to go pick up DD1... OMFG. I genuinely contemplated just leaving her there and doing the 15 minute round trip pickup alone), I have a ton of work to do, both work-work and housework....
Daniel Tiger is the parent in charge until my H gets home.
Free dinner at Outback tonight! It's my grandpa's 77th birthday today and my parents are taking him, plus my sister and I and our respective families. C is yawning quite a bit though, so I hope he can rally.
@mrswindycity My work just banned streaming audio last week because it was slowing down the network. It suuuuuucks.
