I would think so, I would think it's a state requirement?
My in-home licensed daycare lady has to get one by State standards (she said) and she requires her husband & two kids to get one. Even her mom gets one who comes over a few times a week to play with the kids.
Not required, at least in my state and center. We encourage our staff to do so and have visiting nurses hold clinics in our admin offices. But, no, we do not require our staff to get flu shots.
DD's preschool (where she started at age 2, so daycare-ish?) never required it of the students. I have no idea about the teachers.
is this a thing in Europe? I am wondering if it isn't a thing in Japan. My sister seems pretty into a lot of the low contamination type things (not sure how to phrase this, but things like raw milk)
I meant the preschool she attended in NY. But none of the French ones required a flu shot, either.

My understanding is that flu vaccination is much less widespread in Europe. Not sure about Asia:

I could not find a pedi/GP that would recommend me giving the flu shot to my daughter since she is healthy. I asked doctors from Spain/Germany/France/Finland. I think that it is not common for healthy kids and adults to get the flu shot in Europe.

Not required but highly encouraged (they bring in someone to do the vaccines).
I asked one daycare I was interviewing and she was like "oh, no, we never get the vaccines, don't worry about us, we've built up natural immunity over the years." Um. I am not worried about you. I am asking because YOU could make MY kid sick.
I know it wasn't required at J's daycare. It surprised me actually because I found out via one of the infant room teachers talking about not getting the flu shot for blah blah reasons. They take babies age 6 weeks and up so it caught me off guard because I just expected that they would require it I guess.
Doubtful, unless it's a state requirement for licensed in-home providers. We had to provide proof of vaccinations once C turned one, but she's never asked about him getting a flu shot.

They are. They have Walgreens do a flu clinic at the daycare one morning so all staff can get vaccinated. They open it to the parents as well, so I always get mine there too.
