That show was so good (bad) and reminds me of college. We'd sit around and watch it between classes every damned day. I think it was on right before (or was it after) we'd head to the dining hall for dinner.
Some of my favorite college memories involve watching this show with my roommates and entirely too many Twizzlers. Even then, though, no way would I have let Hildi near my stuff. Vern could have come to stay, though.
there was one when one of the women designers did a monochromatic green tile wall of like 1x1 title and randomly placed one fucking red tile on the wall.
y'all know my motherfucking anal retentive ass would spot that shit right off the bat and be pissed as hell.
"cute room. WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT RED MOTHERFUCKER DOING OVER THERE?!?!"
OMG yes! That one made me want to hulk smash the shit out of that red tile.
Between that and those lps, the hay, the moss, and the poop flowers, Trading Spaces aggravated both my allergies and my OCD. I think it went downhill pretty fast after Paige left. I did love the other carpenter though, but I can't remember her name.
Amy Wynn Pastor. She went to my school. Along with Joey Lawrence. WHOA.
"Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you've got a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies-"God damn it, you've got to be kind.”
The Hildi room I remember most was wall-to-wall toile, but it really pales in comparison to hay or flowers.
Apropos of nothing, I once went to a strip club and there was a short Asian dancer in tighty whites. We called him Vern Yip all night. It was the haircut.
