I'm running the Hood to Coast relay tomorrow with a team from work. Our company was recently bought out by a large Australian firm so we have several offices in Seattle, and several in Portland. There is one guy from my office doing it, but the rest are from other offices so I don't know them at all.
Tonight I'm sleeping at the house of a coworker I've never met (with a few others), getting up at 3:30am to drive to Mt. Hood. The race starts at 6:45am, and we'll be racing for the next 30 hours. When I'm not running I'll be in a van with 5 other sweaty people, or sleeping (for an hour or two) in a field in St. Helens, OR.
I'm always a little nervous the night before a race. But last night (two nights prior) I barely slept and I am a little queasy-nervous today! Sorry, just had to get this out there.
Ooooh, I am SO excited for you! My dad has run Hood to Coast several times and it sounds like an amazing experience. You are going to rock it! I'll be thinking of you and cheering you on this weekend. Good luck!
