We went to the allergist yesterday to have her tested and decided to run (or more literally "walk") some errands while we were in the area. As we were walking down the (wrong) street we passed a Planned Parenthood. "Oh, cool, that's where it is in this town. Good to know." Diagonally across the street was a Pregnancy Crisis Center; pretty, innocent sounding name, with pastel flowers and adoption signage in the windows. Thanks to the conversations here I knew exactly what I was looking at (it was new to the area, in a tiny office building.) So I took a moment, slowed down and pointed out the difference in the signage and verbiage between PP and the pretty, flowery stuff in the windows of the PCC designed to draw people in and away from PP. (She's very familiar with PP due to conversations I've had in the past, particularly recently. Poor kid is only 11. Doesn't know jack about the actual "sexing" but can tell you all about the percentages and services of PP and why I'm pro-choice. lol.)
All in a day's work. Thank you CEP for the education.
Directly across from the Everett Planned Parenthood. We went to the Everett Clinic for allergy testing. If you street-view, there's a tiny building "for rent" across the street that is now rented as a PCC.
Oh, and I got to explain the three (peaceful) protestors. One at the back drive holding a pro-life sign and rosary and two halfway to the corner with rosaries. She only noticed the one holding the sign and thought it was so sad that they could only get one person to picket. lol.
