I'm torn. I hate the cold. But if it's gonna be bitterly cold for months on end might as well get some snow out of it. Though not so much snow that I have to stay home with my toddler for too many workdays on end
Cooler and wetter in my area. Have to make sure that I have enough wine, flour, and yeast for the winter. Yes, flour and yeast. Whenever we have a snow day, it is a longstanding family tradition to make yeast doughnuts. Started with my father in upstate NY when I was a child (where we would have to have 24" or more of snow overnight before they would cancel school). Being an hour north of ATL, we basically have to have a strong threat of snow and they will cancel school.
Given that no one in Ca has been watering their lawn and more importantly their trees, I'm also predicting a lot of structural destruction and injury/death from downed trees during the El Niño winter.
