We were up until 2am with friends (fun) but now I'm tired and my kid is cranky as all get out. Plus my H starts his new job monday so I'm already getting nervous for that transition. He's going to be gone so much.
I got to wear my Halloween costume to work today. So that was fun. I worked super early today, so I'll be taking a little nap once H comes to pick me up. Usually I would have walked home but it's supposed to rain off and on all day. So I'm just eating a light lunch to tide me over
I'll do a bunch of dishes later today too so I don't have to spend all day Sunday doing chores!
HoneySpider I made the most delicious oatmeal pumpkin cookies yesterday and thought of you
awick14 I had a dream last night the 2 of us went to this really cool castle and spent the day exploring and then we were selected to be the ones to stay the night there. We got to attend a medieval dinner theatre that night too. So random But it was ALOT of fun in my dream haha
Little pup was up at 4 am today, but he slept all night with no sick accidents. H brought both pups upstairs to the bedroom, where they slept til 8 am. Then they all went downstairs until coming back up to wake me up at almost 10. No sick accidents for pup since overnight on Thursday, so we're hoping that while we are out tonight there won't be anymore.
Tonight we have to go to a family wedding. I don't want to go at all, but we're going just to the reception, and only for dinner. It'll be the first time that I am going to be stuck with my pg sister now that she is showing. And my awesome sister won't be there (they wouldn't let her have a guest, but let my pg sister bring baby daddy and gave my brother a guest), and there is no open bar except for beer. Which I don't like. If it was open bar I'd be a little better about going because then I can drink drink while stuck with pg sister. Plus, it's almost an hour to get to the hall...If I had known my awesome sister was going to decline the invite I would have just rsvped no as well. H told me our plan can be to crack the bottle of wine open once we get home and cuddle with the pups and a movie, so I'm looking forward to that.
HoneySpider Let me know if the link works. I didn't add any of th chocolate chips or the optional items. I also used half the amount of butter (because I didn't have enough currently haha) and used half coconut oil. Those were my only changes!
amaranth I will for sure be making them various ways. Plus I put some coconut oil in them so they are healthy haha H ate like 10 and he's not a sweets person!

H isn't a pumpkin person, but that just means more for me. Did you freeze any? I always wonder which ones freeze well.

We went to the anniversary celebration at my HS and it was cool but I didn't see anyone I know. Oh well. I tye dyed a shirt and now my hands are dyed. Oops! My dad's side of the family came over and it was good to see everyone! We're just about to leave to go visit a friend for a bit.
I can't decide if we should go for something fun like the blue, or if we should stick to something white and basic so that replacements won't be hard to find if we ever need them.
((grover)) I hope seeing her isn't too bad tonight. If I could I'd come down and pay for your drinks so we could get drunk together. (Your H will be the DD right?)
DH and our friend got a lot done today, so tomorrow DH will help him again for 3-4 hrs then he is going hunting with a friend.
We also did a friend's thanksgiving dinner tonight. It was fun for the most part, it just sucks being the only married couple there without kids.
I love this! If you can buy any pieces individually I'd totally get it. If not, maybe wait until you can afford two sets and keep the second in a closet until you need extra pieces (that's what we did).
Yesterday we drove 5 hours to my grandparents' anniversary party, spent a few hours there, then drove 5 hours home. I'm soooooo tired. But the party went really well! It was so nice to see my family, we haven't all gotten together in a long time.
Today we better relax all day, or I'm going to throw a fit, lol.

It looks like you can buy them individually and you can buy each piece in sets of eight. Eight of each is enough for two people, right?

That sounds like plenty if you don't entertain a lot. We had an 8 piece set for just us and it was more than enough util we started entertaining often. That's when we broke out the second set. Worst case scenario people have different sized plates or something. I seriously love that set and want it.

DH and I have a set for 8 people. (It's 2 sets of 4) it seems to be enough for us even with people over. (But we usually either host 4-6 people, or 12+, and we do plastic/paper plates and such with that many people.)
Only stayed at the reception for 2 hours last night. We were packed in tight as sardines- it was pretty bad. We couldn't even get up to get our own refills, and the waitstaff wasn't exactly volunteering to do so. Glad that's over and done with. Next up is trying to help mom do baby shower cookies and the actual shower itself, both of which are in two weeks. Haven't made up my mind for sure one way or the other yet. I may just try to go and then bow out if needed.

We rarely ever entertain and when we do food isn't usually a main focus because of my dietary restrictions, so I feel like 8 should be okay. Stupid question, though: What is the point of salad plates? We currently use paper plates the majority of the time, so I don't know if salad plates are something that are good to have or a waste of money.
