Marcus has it pretty bad -- he keeps touching it even
We are currently trying vaseline, a la a baby book advice, but Jake got the scented stuff (jfc, like he doesn't know about the boys' sensitive skin by now). I'm only worried b/c Marcus now has the dexterity to touch it and scratch it -- I don't want it to get infected. It's near his brain!!!
Any other tips? I see "mild exfoliation" but what would I use?

Use a dry washcloth and Vaseline or Something along those lines. I feel like maybe olive oil might work? Or is that for lice? I forget. My nephew also had it pretty bad and Lucy had it a bit as well. Just gently rub with a dry (adult, somewhat scratchy) washcloth. GL!
DD1 didn't have it too bad but our pedi told me to put olive oil on about five minutes before her bath and then wash as usual. It worked pretty quickly
Ah that makes sense. I saw a picture of someone using a toothbrush but I thought that might be too rough? I'll try the washcloth.
Bravo we have calendula oil and I think maybe a trial of the lotion(hven't tried that yet). We have been opting for lotion over oil lately on him. Thanks!!

Well, when I had it as an adult, I was told to rub baby shampoo into it dry, let it sit, rinse, and comb out gently. I also did mineral oil once and it worked about as well. Going to bed with wet hair, shampoo or product with sulfates, and wearing hats made it worse. Oh. and regular johnson's shampoo has sulfates. 8-D
