1 How old is your baby? Height / weight if you know it. He is 11 weeks. At his 2 month appointment, he was 12 lb 6 oz and 23".
2 How is your physical recovery? My recovery was really easy this time around. I'm just now trying to work on losing the baby weight...I have quite a ways to go!
3 How is sleep going? Okay. He is in bed with me and wakes up 3x/night now, but we both fall asleep pretty easily after he nurses. He doesn't nap anywhere but on me or in the car seat during the day though, which is frustrating.
4 How is the rest of the family adjusting? Mostly okay. Dd1 has been great lately. Dd2 has not. I don't know how much of it is her being 2 (she turned 2 just before he was born) and how much of it is adjusting, but her behavior is crazy. And she's exhausted all the time because she can't take a real nap in her bed because we pick up dd1 from preschool at nap time. She goes between being defiant and not listening to being a limp noodle and having me carry her everywhere. I'm almost always carrying both her and Ds it seems. It's getting old! And I went from working to SAHM and it's hard. I feel like I spend my entire day dealing with a crying baby (although he's gotten much better), a tantruming 2 year old and a demanding 4 year old.
5 Anything else. PIPs welcome DH was OOT this week for work and just got back. I'm planning to dump the children on him this weekend and spend some time not holding anyone. I'm excited

1. 5 weeks tomorrow, 22.5", 11 lbs 2. Better. The last week or so I can finally imagine going for a distance walk and not dying. I'm actually itching to get back to body pump too. Eta- I've lost about 30 of 50 lbs I gained, but I think a LOT of that was water/swelling. I've certainly not done anything special to lose weight. Last time i lost about that much right away too. 3. Okay. At least 3 hours for the first stretch, sometimes 4 hours and a couple of times it was 5. Then 3 hours for the second stretch. 4. We are good. H is his standard annoyed by babies being babies and I am pretty much on baby duty, but he is on toddler duty and that is good because he is better at it than me. Lane is looking for more attention from me, but fine with the baby. 5. Girlfriend cruised through newborn (cloth) diapers and is already in one size pockets. In the last day or so she's decided to sometimes suck on a soothie, but is bad about keeping it in her mouth. We had a bottle fail last night. Also, baby acne showed up over the weekend
1 How old is your baby? Height / weight if you know it. She was 21" and 8lbs 8oz at her last appt that was Friday. 2 How is your physical recovery? My recovery from labor was pretty easy. My boob issues however are never ending. 3 How is sleep going? Pretty well. Her first stretch is the longest, somewhere between 4-6 hours then usually another 2-3. One wakeup is typical but 2 isn't uncommon. 4 How is the rest of the family adjusting? DH is fantastic. Our dig got a stress ulcer the first week but is now better. She's now just indifferent to the baby. 5 Anything else. PIPs welcome. Look at this cutie!
1 How old is your baby? Height / weight if you know it. 2.5 months. She was in the mid-60% at her 2 month visit for height and weight (can't remember exact numbers)
2 How is your physical recovery? I feel mostly normal now. It took up until about 8 weeks, although we haven't had sex yet.
3 How is sleep going? She's a good sleeper, but I have a hard time going back to sleep after getting up in the MOTN.
4 How is the rest of the family adjusting? Fine. I think H gets kind of pissy and inpatient, but whatever.
5 Anything else. H is staying at work later and later, and it's kind of driving me crazy. He leaves early in the morning too, so when he comes home I am exhausted and ready to dump the baby duties to him, but then I think he gets frustrated because of it. I will be kind of glad to go back to work.
1. 11 weeks. She was 23" and about 11lbs at her two month checkup two weeks ago.
2. Back to normal, other than peeing a little when I cough. It's been a much easier recovery the second time around; I guess DD1 paved the way?
3. Don't hate me, but she sleeps through the night (9 PM - 6 AM) pretty much every night.
4. DD1 loves her sister but doesn't love that she gets attention from us, particularly from DH (she's a daddy's girl). The temper tantrums when he holds DD2 have gotten a lot better, but it still happens from time to time.

1 How old is your baby? 3.5 weeks
Height / weight if you know it. no clue but he's chunking up. Would guess 8.5-9 lbs.
2 How is your physical recovery? Great actually! I feel awesome minus some continued discharge. Anyone remember how long that lasts?
3 How is sleep going? blah. He was doing two 3 he stretches but the last couple nights have been not good. I'm hoping its growth spurt related?
4 How is the rest of the family adjusting? pretty well! DD mostly loves him but not when I'm nursing. H is frustrated easily by the crying which is annoying because, duh, babies cry. I'm trying to be patient.
1. 1 month today! He's 9lbs 11oz - a 2.5lb weight gain from hospital discharge
2. I feel pretty good with just a little bit of soreness around my incision
3. He is a great sleeper so far and usually wakes up twice (occasionally only once!) in the MOTN to nurse and goes right back to sleep
4. DD is very interested in her little brother and loves to "help" by bringing pacifiers and blankets over to him. We do have to remind her to be gentle with him, such as the other day when she threw a (soft) ball at his head (later she said "just playing! Sam catch the ball!" so there's a bit of disconnect there). It's been a challenge to juggle both kids by myself, but it's getting easier each day; also DH has two weeks off before he starts his new job, so we are having lots of quality family time right now.
1 How old is your baby? Height / weight if you know it.
DD and DS are 5 weeks old. At their 1 month appointment, they were both 19.75". DD was 7lbs 9oz. DS was 7lbs 1oz.
2 How is your physical recovery?
Pretty good. I'm still bleeding though. I have my 6 week follow up next week. If I overdo it one day, I can feel it around my incision by the evening. It is a good reminder that I'm still recovering from surgery. I have lost 38 out of the 55 lbs I gained! But, 11 of that was babies, plus everything that came out with them!
3 How is sleep going?
We are still averaging around 3 hour stretches. We usually get one 4 hour stretch. I'm so thankful that DH is back in town after being away for 3 nights this week. Doing all of the nighttime feeding by myself was rough. It can take 1.5-2 hours to feed, burp, and change both babies and then pump for the next feeding.
4 How is the rest of the family adjusting?
DH is doing great. He went back to work last week after taking 4 weeks off.
The cats are totally ambivalent to the existence of the babies.
5 Anything else. PIPs welcome
I was proud of myself for getting out of the house with the babies by myself for the first time at 3 weeks. I've done it several times since.
1 How old is your baby? Height / weight if you know it. 10 weeks old. She was 11 lbs 14 oz at her two month appt.
2 How is your physical recovery? Great! I'm doing everything. Only complaint is that I've been spotting from getting a mirena last week.
3 How is sleep going? Getting better. We've started putting her to bed around 6/6:30. We usually will have two wake ups after that around 11 or 12 and then 4 or 5. I'm pretty happy with that right now.
4 How is the rest of the family adjusting? Awesome. DS is amazing with her. He loves kissing her and always wants to be near her. It's adorable. "Where baby sister? I go see her!"
5 Anything else. PIPs welcome Happy to share pics!

countthestars 2. I just started being able to wear pantiliners like last week (4 weeks?) 4. 100% ditto on the H frustration. It drives me crazy & I want to scream at him to just grow up. Lol.
1 How old is your baby? Height / weight if you know it.
7.5 weeks. He's long and slim, at 23 inches and just over 9lbs.
2 How is your physical recovery?
Excellent. I only gained 10lbs during pregnancy, and am down 30 (sorry. It's how it has always worked for me, and as long as I can stay off BCP, I won't gain back the 40lbs I always gain on the pill). I'd still like to lose 10-15 more, but not if it means sacrificing my supply. I'm anxious to start weight training again, but DS wants to be up all the time, so it hasn't happened yet. We are getting lots of walking in, so it's a start.
We are dealing with a shallow latch that he won't let me correct, so I go between using the nipple shield to get relief, to not using it so that he gets used to feeding without it. He is slowly getting better and I'm hoping that he will continue to improve as he gets bigger.
3 How is sleep going?
Pretty good. He does one longer stretch when he first goes down; maybe 4-5 hours, then is up every two after that. He goes back to sleep easily, and he spends most of the night in his bassinet, comes into bed with me around 5am or so.
4 How is the rest of the family adjusting?
Really well, given the age difference. DD (12YO) is awesome with him, and is finally comfortable enough being home with him for me to make a short trip out of the house. She did her babysitting course before he was born, and today she stayed with him for about half an hour while I ran to the store. DS1 (15YO) hasn't met him yet because he lives with his dad, too far away, but asks about him daily. DH is completely in love, and amazed by the whole process. He's never had any experience with a newborn.
5 Anything else. PIPs welcome
I already don't want to go back to work - I'm one of those people who loved being a SAHM, and am enjoying every second again. I am worried about getting cabin fever during the long, cold winter (we won't be out much in 50 below) and the lack of stores or places to go for a change of pace might make for some long days.
1 How old is your baby? Height / weight if you know it. 3 months on Saturday! 10lb 8oz 22 ish inches.
2 How is your physical recovery? Back to my old self.
3 How is sleep going? decent. She has been regressing some but sleeps well. Recently she started a 4AM feeding after having slept through the night a while.
4 How is the rest of the family adjusting? Big brother loves her and she loves him. They are adorable together.
5 Anything else. She has full head control and is only happy sitting up. She can sit unassisted for a 10ish seconds before wobbling. We think she is ahead this way because she is such a peanut, she doesn't have as much weight to hold up.
She is also in the hands in the mouth at all times phase. She is a drooling machine.
1) 6 weeks 4 days and 14.9 pounds (a gain of 5.4lbs if you count the 5oz he lost after birth
2) tired but otherwise physically fine
3) he was doing an initial 4-6 hour stretch but this week has been rough. I'm hoping it's the 6 week growth spurt & not the new normal. Thank god he goes back to sleep quickly.
4)Ds1 loves Ds2 but is a bit rough. He's starting to act up for negative attention so I'm trying to interact more (less gbcn time ) even when I'm holding Ds2. DH isn't great with newborns so I'm doing almost all of that.

Ds2 is 4 weeks tomorrow! I'd guess he's 10lbs and change, probably 21".
I'm feeling great, recovery this time was a breeze.
Sleep is... ok. Usually his longest stretch is 4 hours or so from 8-12 and then he's up every 2.5 or so.
Big brother loves him, but is turning 3 next week and has gained a load of sass in the last few weeks. DH has been working nights and weekends lately too, which can definitely isn't helping. He misses dad and I can't give him all the attention he's used to.

1 How old is your baby? Height / weight if you know it. A week ago at her 2 month check up she was 11lbs, 4oz and 23.25 inches long.
2 How is your physical recovery? Pretty well. I had a very easy vaginal delivery with no tearing. I got my IUD in last week and I've been spotting a bit since then, but no pain at all.
3 How is sleep going? Nighttime is pretty good for a 2 month old. Down between 7-8pm, wake ups at around midnight and 4am and up for the day between 6-7am. But I'm so freaking tired and don't do sleep deprevation well. So DH is going to start sleeping in the nursery until the second wake up every other night.
Naps suck. Cat naps unless she's being worn or held. Even in the swing and stroller it's only 45 mins tops. I know it's just a phase since the boys did the same thing. But I still hate it and can't wait until she *hopefully* starts to grow out of it in a cpuple months.
4 How is the rest of the family adjusting? Overall well, the boys entertain each other a lot, so that's helpful. DH has really stepped up doing more with the boys and now that we've worked out a plan for him to start helping with night wake ups I'm very happy. The adrenaline has worn off and the lack of sleep is really getting to me.
Anything else...
Just that I can't wait for the next 2-3 months to go by and not have a newborn anymore and ever again!!! I truly feel like DD has completed our family. DH is just going to have to accept it (he originally wanted 4 kids).
DS2 is 5.5 weeks. He's pushing 12 lbs (9lbs 3 oz at birth) and was 23" at his 1 month appointment.
I'm feeling mostly back to normal, just fat. None of my clothes fit... I gained 45-50 lbs this pregnancy, shed about 25-30 lbs post delivery and have 20 to go. I shouldn't complain but I am sick of yoga pants and the fat pad on my stomach.
Sleep is still rough. He's up every 2-3 hours still at night. We got his tongue tie fixed (for a SECOND time, poor baby) today, so I'm hoping with better milk transfer will come better sleep.
DH and I are in survival mode, figuring out how to juggle two kids. Doing ok, but DH has bipolar and it has been a bit wacky with the messed up sleep. He's obnoxiously insecure when he's cycling. DS1 is a DOLL. He loves DS2 but refuses to hold him. He will talk to him and insists I pick him up when he's crying. It's sweet.
1 How old is your baby? Height / weight if you know it. She'll be 2 months on Sunday. She weighed 11 lb during her one-month check-up. We have a pedi appt on Monday, and she'll get her shots. I'm not looking forward to that...
2 How is your physical recovery? I'm doing good, I still have some weight to lose, but other than that I'm feeling ok.
3 How is sleep going? Luckily she's a really good sleeper. Depending on the night she can go 7-8 hours at night. She doesn't nap during the day though.
4 How is the rest of the family adjusting? It's just DH, me and the pup. The dog is absolutely obsessed with her DH is a great dad, but since I'm on ML I'm doing most of the work. I think the hard adjustment will come once I return to work in December

1. 9 days old. He was 7lbs at the lactation consultant earlier this week.
2. Not bad. I had a couple days earlier this week with some pain, but I'm mostly pain free at this point.
3. It's not. We are still trying to get a rhythm going and he likes to stay up for like an hour plus after each MOTN feeding.
4. My H has taken to fatherhood really well. He can be kind of a grump with middle of the night wake ups, but he is also working so he gets a slight pass.
mcfelix - I'm contemplating the Mirena. Have you had it before? How bad is the spotting?
(I just don't want it to go on for months)
Yes I had a mirena between DS and DD - so it was only for for a little over 12 months. It will stay in for its lifespan this time! The spotting really isn't that bad, just annoying. Definitely my favorite form of birth control. And I've tried the pill, the patch and nuvaring.
I have no idea how DH & I make such giant babies with no family history of big babies and fantastic blood sugar throughout both pregnancies.
Same here. I mean DD was only 8lbs,15oz but she was born at 39w, so another week or more would have put her closer to 10lbs. I was 9lbs, 1oz born at 41 weeks. But I was only 19 lbs at a year old and have always been small since (only 5'4" and less than 120lbs). DH and his sisters were all less than 8lbs at birth.
1 How old is your baby? Height / weight if you know it. 9 weeks. About 14 lbs
2 How is your physical recovery? I'm at/below my pre preg weight but my core strength is shit, my endurance is shit, and I still look five months pregnant. I think I'm recovered from delivery though.
3 How is sleep going? She is a good sleeper at night. Her long stretch is typically at least 5 hours, often 6, and she sleeps 8-10 hours per night total. However she thinks naps are for suckers and will only nap if someone holds her despite sleeping nicely in her rock and play every night.
4 How is the rest of the family adjusting The kitty cats tolerate her. They have claimed at least one baby toy as their own. They get upset and try to comfort her when she's real angry. Like if you try to give her a bottle...

1. He is 5.5 weeks. Haven't been back to the doctor since he was 4 days old, so not sure of exact height or weight. 2. Great, I think I am pretty much back to normal. My 6 week pp appointment is next Wednesday. 3. Sleep is better than with our first son. C seems to be up 2-3 times a night. He goes from 10:00 to 2:00 and then back down until 5:00 or so. A few times he has given us longer stretches, but sometimes he is tough to get back to sleep. 4. My H is great. He really does a great job with the baby and so far has been able to work from home about once a week. Z (2 years on Monday) is a great big brother. He loves to show his little brother off to everyone. He does get a little rough with him once in a while, and has a hard time not having all of our attention but he is doing better with things than we expected.
