Do you limit your kids? Do they get free rein with their loot?
What's your strategy?
DS is very "out of sight out of mind." I let him have at it for a couple days then I hide all but a few pieces. He forgets all about it. That way he feels like he really got to enjoy his candy but he doesn't totally over do it. They got a crapton of candy this year!
We still have candy from the 4th of July parade he's forgotten about!
I basically do the same as you. They each got several pieces last night. I'll let them have 1-2 pieces a day over the next few days. I get rid of some and keep the rest put up. DH and I eat on it until all of the chocolate is gone. DD will ask for a piece here and there. We still have candy from V-Day and Easter that I need to toss.
I wish my girls would forget about it. They get to have a bit after breakfast today and then a piece as a treat here and there for a few days. They'll ask constantly though. DH will take a bunch to work and I will put most of the chocolate aside for me, lol. I'm glad when it's gone.
I pretty much let her try whatever she wanted last night, but today and going forward its one piece with lunch and one with snack. That will become one after dinner tomorrow because she'll be at daycare all day

She was allowed to eat about 4 pieces last night while we were out. Today she was allowed a piece after lunch and I'm sure she will get one after dinner. I'll put it over the fridge and DH will eat a lot. In two weeks, I'll toss the banana taffy and tootsie rolls that remain.

Does anyone actually ever eat banana taffy? I end up with a bunch at the bottom of the bowl every year. Yuck.
Yeah...they had about 4 pieces yesterday and now they'll get one piece for dessert after lunch/dinner until it's gone...DH and I will prob eat a piece of two each night...

Due to allergies, Reese can't have a lot of the candy. She had a bunch yesterday and today--we didn't really limit her, but her "allergy candy" will disappear slowly so all that remains are the ones she candy have.
Her favorites though? The lemon and the lemon lime dum dum lollipops, she was digging through the bowl in hopes to find them at every house.
I let ds go wild yesterday lol. Today he had m&ms and asked for the pez and beanie baby he got (pretty good tot swag!). I will let him have a piece here and there as a treat. But we did stash it away so he doesn't bug lol.
We let DS pick one after trick or treating (he's 3, almost 4) and he'll have one after supper for a while. He doesn't care about chocolate much, so I don't think he'll mind after he eats some of the other candies.

One of our neighbors gave Beanie Babies too! DD is in LOVE with her new little cat.
We let them have several pieces last night and they had a pice after each meal today. I will probably pack one piece in their lunch each day this week then they will forget about it. We almost never eat it all
DS got sidetracked with glow sticks at the end of TOT yesterday so ate one piece of candy. Today he got a piece before breakfast and one after. He can have one after dinner if he remembers. A package of sour patch kids and a large lollipop (OMG mommy a dum dum so big! I've never seen one so huge!) I know are very important to him so he will get those. The others will disappear and he won't care. Out of sight, out of mind. He doesn't have much of a sweet tooth.

They ate some today and will both get 1-2 pieces after dinner for the next week or so. I will send the stuff dh and I won't eat to Dhs work. The rest I will eat. I'm just glad both the kids are in school and I don't have to hide in the closet to eat it anymore.
