I feel like a cranky old person, but I really hate the time change. DD woke up at 4am (the new time), was too wired to nap at the "new" nap time, so went allll day with no nap and went to bed at 6:30. DS was a tired mess and it was a struggle to keep him awake until 6:30. I'm not looking forward to this week at all.
Any other time change haters out there? I feel like it's really hard on kids. (And parents.)
Awww. That's tough. When my kids were little I adjusted the week leading up to it. Move 10-15 min early each day. Much easier. Maybe try that come spring.

I am very thankful for the time change this year. DS and I are both sick, so we slept in no problem. And having him asleep by 6:30 was amazing. DD has been chronically overtired since school started it feels like, so she was also out before 7. I'm hoping her body seizes this sleep opportunity and she catches up a little. And now it's just after 7 and I'm going to bed too. I may be completely eating crow in a few days, but right now it is glorious.
Also had nap boycotters today, but that's the norm anymore. I actually had forgotten about the time change until the bathtime meltdown when I was like "oh yeah, 7:30 feels like 8:30....no wonder you guys are coming unglued" :-p
We always have a harder time with the other time change and haven't had any problems so far. We'll see how it goes getting everyone up and out the door tomorrow morning.
Ugh we had an awful time. Ds went to bed way late last night (8 instead of 6:30) and woke up an hour earlier than usual which was really 2 hours earlier. Been awake since 4:50. He took a crap nap but crossing my fingers we are back on track tomorrow!!!
I think the time change is harder on me than it is my kids. I swear, the older I get, the more I feel it.
So far, it hasn't been *too* bad at our house. DD had no trouble adjusting. The boys were awake an hour early yesterday, but laid in their cribs talking to each other for a good 30 minutes. They took late naps yesterday and I was out last night, so I'm not sure how bedtime went. This morning they were up about half an hour early. Hopefully, they'll be straightened out in a few days.
Yesterday was awful. DD went to bed late on Halloween and then still woke up at 6:21. She wasn't too bad yesterday but the day felt like it was 9 billion years long. She was in bed before 7 though which was nice. And she's still asleep.
It will take me awhile to adjust. I've been wide awake since 5. I'm with ash--the older I get the longer it takes me to adjust.
I agree - it's harder the older I get! I'm also not a morning person, so DD's regular 5am wakeup is a killer at the best of times. Now it's 4am. That's the middle of the freaking night! I can't wait until they adjust.
Oh also, I've been moving DD's nap gradually from 10am to 11, and now I'm right back where I started! It's kind of funny, but also makes me want to cry a little.
