So through a weird series of events (will explain if I get the job) I have an interview tomorrow for a classroom for children with autism and communication issues.
Would it be appropriate to bring some samples of types visual cues and activities I used in my classrooms? If so do I just say I would love to show you some examples of materials I have used in the past?
I was specifically asked to interview for this position from the lady who oversees this classroom.
I think it is a good idea. When I was interviewing, I brought my teaching portfolio with me which included sample lessons and materials I use in my classroom. Good luck!!!
I think it's a great idea. I'm sure it will come up and I'm sure the interviewers would appreciate seeing your ideas versus having to visualize and imagine them. It will save time.
