I'm sorry. And I know you're moving, bad timing. I packed away the toddler rail in the very back corner of the basement, not easy to get out. I'm afraid that was a bad move. Maybe a new bed in a new place won't be so bad.

I'm thinking it might actually work?
She fell asleep immediately after she came home from school so no shenanigans yet, but I guess it's only a matter of time.
Maybe she was just experimenting at school, and the move will keep things new enough she'll forgot about to for a while?
My kid is a climber. She looked like she was going to climb out the first time at 18 months. She is now like a million months (30ish) and she hasnt climbed out yet. There is hope. Yesterday she threw her leg over a couple times when we were reading books and i told her to stick it back in. #crib4lyfe
This is Natalie. She is my crazy wild daredevil and I was terrified she was gonna climb out at 1. In fact in a bout of irrational pregnancy fear I moved her to her big brothers room before the baby was born so she could get used to sleeping in there in her crib before transitioning to a bed because I was sure it was happening any second. And baby! And disrupting her lyfe! (there were lots of feelings, lol) now the baby's almost 1 and she's 2.5 and still in there. She's never tried to climb out specifically, but she did climb up onto the rail the other day and say "look daddy, its my horse!" We decided to pretend it never happened, lol
Op, best of luck to you. I'll be over her by my river... Da Nile.
swizz Did she end up climbing out on the regular? DD climbed out at grandmas house and I caught her at home just before she fell onto the hardwood floor....I'm kinda hoping she will get bored with it, but we might be changing beds this weekend...

Nope! Knock on wood, she hasn't tried it since.
ETA: I opted to take the ignore and pretend she never did it route. I knew if I made it a thing it'd really become a thing.
I'm aiming for the same tactic. I would like to wait until after Xmas break to make the change!
