I love old BBC shows, AYBS, ATGB, and VOD. I'm watching the 2nd Christmas Special for like the 10 millionth time. I starting to think it's Alice and Hugo's fault that we now have Mr & Mrs Jim Boob. By the time the 2nd special was made Alice and Hugo had 10 freaking children! LMAO
I love love love Vicar of Dibley! I haven't watched the most recent special though, I didn't realize they had that many kids, lol.
Father Ted is another favorite.
This Christmas one is kinda old, it's from 2006, it's on netflix streaming. There is a recent Comic Relief one with Emma Watson. I'll see if I can find it and post it.
I tried Father Ted, but couldn't get into it. I'm thinking about trying it again. Have you seen Black Books?

Yes! I love Black Books. Really I love anything BBC. One of my all time favorite series is Midsomer Murders (not a comedy, lol).

Has anyone seen the 2006 VOD special? Harry's relationship w/his sister seems a little creepy too me and ala the Friends eps w/brother and sister that would bathe together, lmao.
"This prick is asking for someone here to bring him to task Somebody give me some dirt on this vacuous mass so we can at last unmask him I'll pull the trigger on it, someone load the gun and cock it While we were all watching, he got Washington in his pocket."
Also, somewhat CEP related. Has anyone else watched the Terry Pratchett movies? I was stuck for a long time wondering who it was that Ben Carson's cadence and manner of speaking reminded me of - and then it hit me. Teatime from Hogfather. Lol. link
I love Black Books, Vicar of Dibley, Blackadder, etc. IT crowd is good though not BBC afaik. Spaced is a weird but good show.
The Blackadder Christmas special has been a tradition since I was about 5. I got h into it too now. It's so funny even though I know every single line.
I'm obsessed with Are You Being Served. There has never been a show as funny, ever.
"I hope this isn't going to take long, Captain Peacock. The last time I was late, a fireman had to climb out of my bedroom window and risk his life on a narrow ledge, trying to grab hold of my pussy. - Mrs. Slocombe
I love old BBC shows. My favorite of all time is Red Dwarf...lol seen every episode and followed up by watching every episode with commentary.
I also loved Keeping Up Appearances, Are You Being Served, the BBC version of Who's line is it Anyway and a show I have not seen on the air in years, Chef.
I also remember watching one where the main character was Death's son but cannot remember the title.

Is Mulberry the show about death's son?
Yes Mulberry is the show. I had to use IMDB to confirm ut.

I like VOD. I was somewhat reticent starting it because I did not like Dawn French in Lark Rise to Candleford (in fact, I was glad she disappeared...she was just wretched on that show). Love it though. I also watch Poirot and Marple like it is my job. I also like Midsomer Murders and Foyles War though those are somewhat current (though MM is on like season 900).

Season 16 of MM just dropped this week on Netflix!
