So is it just me or is it pretty much now a lost and found for animals? It's really annoying.
MLMs are another 30% of my feed.
Add another 30% to racist and disgusting memes.
I really should deactivate it but then how will I show off cute pictures of my daughter?!
Instagram.
I have been get less and less out of facebook. So much of it is news or "news" now that it's starting to feel like a personalized Yahoo home page, plus occasional pictures of friends' kids/parties/vacations.
I don't hate FB because mine is pretty tame in all honesty. My exboyfriend is a political crazy and that's been fun...lol. My old Aunts like and relike and then comment on my stuff. I feel validated. The rest is kid pictures, kid stories and since I know every farmer in the tri-county area a lot of crop reports.

I removed the app from my phone because I was finding myself annoyed yet constantly checking it. I now only check it about once a day and still only scroll through for a few minutes. I stick to Instagram.
I get a lot of the MLM stuff, but don't see a million animal or racist posts.most of my friends either post pictures of their kids/lives, links to mostly interesting articles or invite me to events through FB.

I did unfollow alot of people due to some of the above and just drama or whatnot and people who reading about didn't make life feel richer I guess. I also blocked everyone from work as I felt like I couldn't post things if I was behind at work due to the insane work creep I had been having, etc.
I find myself using IG much more these days. It's the best part of FB (pictures) without political bullshit, MLMs, or advertising. The privacy features are better/easier than FB, too.
A mom "friend" shared something about a daily cleaning schedule and posted that she thought her friends could benefit bc she does a schedule and it's great. "An hour a day really keeps it manageable" lol for days. She works pt, cleans an hour a day, works out, looks great, cooks amazing meals. Get off my overworked and lazy lawn
My goal for 2016 is a monthly house cleaner. I will achieve my goal
I have to admit, I follow some animal rescue pages but I don't share, just like cute pics.
With Halloween, I got into it with some family members about cultures not being a costume. It blew up, big time. Then one of the members involved went to their other FB page and started posting this huge racist rant that made me remove both of them from my FB completely.
So I hate FB at the moment, makes me dislike my family even more.

I still like it! But I hide a lot of stuff, so I really only see kids, pets and vacations. Plus some interesting articles here and there that my smart friends post. Also, I'm old.
Today someone posted 'Everyones invited. Party at my house Saturday. Scentsy, arbonne, MLM2, candles MLM, MLM3 and MLM55 will all be available' Someone replied 'oh can't come. Sounds fun'. She replies 'come by Friday night for a look at the catalogue and you can enter the draw'
I started hiding the missing dog stories and a few frequent offenders, anyone posting conservative-hate posts, and people that only ever posted MLM or other annoying shit like "get up and get out! today's YOUR day!"
Is anyone else's feed inundated with stuff your friends have liked, like pics of people you don't even know? I feel like that's literally all I see anymore, it's worse on my phone. I keep trying to figure out who I recognize in the photos and it's like, oh, nobody.
My feed would be full of the same, but I have hidden any animal rescue sites and MLM "friends" (term used loosely).
My current complaint is the Trending feed on the right. I feel like it's just a running list of daily tragedies -- let's see who got shot around the country today. I really wish I could hide it.
On the other hand, I loved all the Halloween pics of kids -- too cute. One of the few redeeming values that FB has these days. Otherwise, I am totally over it.

Admittedly, I replied to a post about a dog I had seen, in response to a missing dog today, but only because my DD was so upset we could not catch it.
My little cousin, 30, told me instagram is where it is at, but I mostly post pictures for the oldsters in the family, and nothing much more.
I did post the below link tonight, and unfriend a lady I used to be IRL friends with because she is all about jumping on people who are not homogenous to her view of reality, like a 7h grade girl who can't be friends with anyone "different", and likes to rant about it.
I have long since unfriended or hidden people that post right wing political or religious nonsense. I also hide people that post an endless stream of memes and never anything personal about their life. Also the ones that post parenting articles/blogs and then tag their spouse in a "here honey read this and be a better dad" way.
I am trying to trim down my friends list and playing around a bit with sharing things I post only with a certain small group of people. Got really tired of this one person from high school liking every single one of my posts within seconds of me posting.
