DD's legs are long enough to kick the back of the seat when she's in her carseat. She gets the seat really dirty and with winter coming up, I'm not thrilled about her getting snow and salt and other junk on the back of the seat. Can I put a towel between the carseat and the back of the seat and like drape it over the headrest so she doesn't get her shoes on the seat? Or am I just doomed to have her destroy the seat? Because I'm way too lazy to make her take her shoes off every time she gets in the car.
But that's for a kid who is FF, right? So since she's RFing, the kickmat/towel/whatever would have to go between her carseat and the seat she's facing. So what I'm asking is, would it interfere with the carseat installation? I've always heard not to add things between the seat and the carseat but she is destroying the seat.

I kept a towel on the seat. I put it on and it draped all the way down the. I installed the seat after putting it on. I got the idea from car-seat.org.

That's what it's made for, but I was thinking you could just flip it around and since its secured to the seat around the bottom, it wouldn't necessarily have to go between the car seat and the vehicle seat. But I have captain's chairs, that probably wouldn't work for a bench seat.
A tshirt works best IME and is what I use, when I sue something. You don't want the kick mat between her seat and the vehicle seat so if it's short enough, it would be fine but itherwise, no. My kids annoyingly take their shoes off every.single.ride. anyway so if boots are muddy I just take them off before buckling.
