makes me want to adopt a kitty!!!!!!! and seeing UW get a puppy doesn't help.
But seriously, from the first day we were here, I have wanted a kitty. Cairo is FULL of stray cats and dogs. While I would like to just pick one up off the street and take it home, that worries me because who knows if they have issues/diseases..... But I found a rescue that takes them in and gets them ready for adoption.
At first I was like, no we shouldn't get a pet because we want to travel.....But cats are easier and we have teacher friends who live on our road and have already offered to come by and feed our kitty if we got one.
I'm just trying to decide if I would actually be happy having a kitty or not. H had kitties when I moved in with him, but we ended up giving them away. But I kind of miss having a companion and every time I see the kitties, it makes me want one even more!
Look at this face! She is sooo cute!
Would you get a kitty? Do you think we should?
eat: the rescue is for Egyptian Mau breeds. they are so cute!
I'm really not trying to discourage you, but wait a few months before deciding. Really get settled in and into a routine before you make a decision like this.

this is what DH is saying too. haha. I am sure we will wait...but it's so hard.
I think the hardest thing might be when you guys want to come back to the US (I assume you do, right?) because the cat will probably have to be in quarantine or something. Anyway, I guess I'd wait, but I would probably do it because cats are easy to take care of and traveling isn't a big deal. Let us know when you get one!
yah we have thought about the process for bringing her back. I am sure it would be a lot of hoops, but I know it's possible. Mike's cousins did peace corps in Paraguay and they brought kitties back from there.
Also, if we will be gone for quite a while and there was no one to watch here, I have already looked at boarding...
