I have zero issue with the cups and don't think Starbucks is remotely trying to send some kind of anti-Christian message. I do, however, think the new cups are boring and not particularly enticing.
The most offensive thing is how much people care about a marketing ploy.
This. I don't know why people are so upset at those that are "upset". I've yet to actually see anybody upset about the cups in real life (and I have several family members on my Facebook list who usually eat this shit up)
That's not even what I'm talking about. Starbucks is GENUIS. Every year, people wait with anticipation to find out what a DISPOSABLE PAPER CUP THEY'LL THROW AWAY looks like. They instagram and hashtag their #redcups.
Starbucks revenue jumps 10% in their holiday quarter due to redcups. Their first quarter revunue this year was 4.8 billion. BILLION. So their revenue is projected to jump 480,000,000 dollars. FOUR HUNDRED AND EIGHTY MILLION DOLLARS.
Someone in Starbbucks headquarters is rubbing their hands with glee over this war because it's only going to calculate into more revenue for them.
I'm glad someone pointed out that they are a Starbucks cup, I would have just assumed it was a red solo cup, and assume it was probably filled with rye.

I put the pic up that's in my siggy area on my fb page, and my husband who doesn't go to church, and who based on his past history wouldn't make it to the pearly gates, was offended. LMFAOOOOO
