My current doctor is $2k plus meds and they do back to back IUIs (if you progesterone proves the second day you have not Ovulated yet).
I am debating switching to a different insurance plan at work that covers 50% of IUIs plus they cover meds. So my cost would be around $1k an IUI.
I know a family friend on the north side of our city paid <$1k cash price per IUI.
So....I am wondering what the "average" price is per IUI (FYI, I live in LCOL), and maybe I will switch offices so I can cash flow it there and get started sooner.

I can't remember how much mine cost, but it was under $1k. That said, all three of my IUIs were Letrozole only, and Letrozole was about $3.00 per cycle.
What all does that cover? Ultrasounds, blood draw etc? After everything, mine were a little over $700, sometimes more if I needed another u/s. I did oral meds so those were cheap. This was close to 5 years ago, though, so I'm not sure how much costs have gone up at my clinic. I'm assuming that the extra cost is for the second IUI, and I don't know if it's worth it.
The insurance cost would probably be less than $1k (unless they already told you that), because the insurance rate is lower than the cash rate. My RE estimated $1500 or something for a combo cycle for me (Femara, Menopur, trigger), but H's insurance has 50% insurance for parts of it, and my most expensive combo cycle was $500. Ultrasounds were $75ish, the IUI itself was $75ish, and the Menopur was the pricy part.
ETA: Femara was free or like $10; otherwise meds were $$ and no coverage
Love of my life baby boy born 11/11. One and done not by choice; 3 years of TTC yielded 4 MMC and 2 CPs, through 4 IUIs and 2 IVFs. Focusing on making the world a better place instead...and running.

It's very COL and clinic specific. Everything is billed separately at our RE's, but I seem to remember the charge for IUI+sperm wash was around $700. They have a 5% cash discount.
My actual IUI at an office in the city was $650 + 2-3 monitoring appointments at $400 each, + meds. My current practice, in a small town, is $350 for the IUI + 2-3 monitoring appointments at $150 each + meds. It costs me about 1/3 of the price at my small town office vrs my big city office.

According to the paperwork they game me (I never did IUI with my current clinic), it's between $2100 and $2400 total (including ultrasounds, blood work, the actual IUI, and sperm prep), plus an additional charge for meds. I would say it is a HCOL area.
They only did one IUI for me during my cycle and I didn't have any ultrasounds done (just did at home OPKs.) So altogether it would have cost a little over $800, but thanks to the hospital discounts I only had to pay a little over $500 out of pocket. Also, my insurance does not cover anything infertility related.

My clomid cycles were about $750 all told if I was not on the fancy crinone progesterone. That was a few hundred more, so ~1k. I did crinone some and the capsule progesterone some.
It was about $250 per office visit with sonogram. Insurance counted my monitoring scans but not the IUI itself. We have a high deductible plan so it was all OOP.
My injectable cycle was w/follistim. I think we were around $3k all in but I never added it up. That first injectables cycle led to our daughter.
Each of mine cost about $1700 total. $1500 went to all doctors appointments, bloodwork, IUI procedure was included (back to back days). I had to pay out of pocket for clomid ($15) and my trigger shot and progesterone (about $150 total).
