Speaking of Xmas cards, What is your opinion of photo cards? I personally like getting them, but is it weird to send out a photo card if you don't have kids? I don't think its weird myself, but I am just trying to gauge the opinion of the general public. I want to order some, but I don't want people to think I'm lame if it's just my H and I and our dogs.

Dude. Water cooler browser/ ML regular here. I was JUST looking through the file the photog just sent from a family shoot last weekend. (Is it a sign?!) Whispering: non-parents H & I included our dog in most of our individual shots... :-| I'd heard from relatives & cross country fam that they really wanted a photo. So this non-mom definitely endorses!
I think I asked the same question a few years ago and people said a photo card without kids was fine. Personally I like receiving them, so I have no objections. If you have pets in the photo, go for it! Everyone loves that.

I think it's fine. We did one last year that included our cats and I was pregnant so it said "baby" on it. If I hadn't been pregnant I think we still would have done a card.
We always did photo pics and made them funny. We dressed up our dachshund mix as a reindeer. The look on her face in that costume just made the card. One year, my husband dressed up as Santa and held our pet pot belly pig (LONG STORY)....people loved that one.
Okay, I think I'm going to do it if I can get organized in time. I'm glad to hear you guys don't think its weird! Last year, my parents got a photo card from my grandmother's elderly friend. It was four pictures of her by herself- in her garden, golfing, wine tasting, and somewhere else I can't remember. She is in her late eighties or early nineties, and I thought it was so cool that she was so active and sent a card showcasing it like that!
