DS is 7 months. He is army crawling and rocking on all fours, but no real crawling yet. He's been pulling himself up with a bit of support for a couple of weeks now. Today, he pulled himself up completely on his own and stabilized. My mom thinks it's odd that he's able to pull himself up before crawling.
Sounds totally normal to me! Many babies (including mine) don't crawl first before pulling up or even walking. It sounds like he is strong and experimenting with different movements so I would not be worried in the least.

I think or babies are the same birthday, or at least almost. But yeah, she went from "I think she's almost crawling" to now crawling fast across the room in like a day. Today, we've seen her pull up twice. I mean some babies skip crawling altogether but anything seems possible. It sounds earlyish to me but probably not atypical.
I will feel slightly bad sharing this with my one friend whose daughter is now 15 months old and is just starting to pull up
Mine started crawling and pulling up the same week.
I do think he's verrrrry close to crawling. He's started take some "steps" with both hands and feet before dropping down to army crawl. I also think he's stubborn though, so he may hold out for a while.

Totally normal. My oldest only army crawled until after he started walking at 10 months. Then he all of a sudden started crawling on hands and knees. Kids are weird man
My DD did the classic progression of crawl then pull up and is now very close to walking.
DS however is all amount the army crawling and has been doing that for months. Then he learned to pull up and just in the last week or two has started doing the normal crawl. He's not walking yet either.
From what I've read any kind of crawling is fine, my pedi didn't bat at eye at the fact that DS exclusively army crawls. As long as they are moving around independently, starting to pull up and move towards walking I think they're fine.

This was my DD last week, then on Saturday she just took off and crawled all over. Now she's not quite pulling up but I can tell she's working on it and wants to do it.
My son was CRUISING before he crawled. Pulled up and cruised by 9.5 months, crawled and finally rolled all ways at 10 months. He was walking by 12.5 months.
There's not much rhyme or reason to babies and milestones. Ds1 walked at 10 months and didn't crawl until 18 months. Yes you read that right. Not all babies crawl.
Dd is 13 months and has not crawled. Not even army crawled. She has rolled a few times, but they have been inconsistent and almost seemed like accidents.
She's been pulling up for months, cruises and now practically runs holding on to her ride on toy. This week she stated to be brave and stand a few seconds unassisted.
I freaked out over her milestones, but her pediatrician was unconcerned.
E has been pulling himself up on our hands for a while before he started crawling. He started pulling up on other things pretty much right after he started crawling but wasn't very successful until a few days ago (he started crawling Halloween weekend).
I vote normal. C has been army crawling for months and pulling up for almost as long. He has been cruising for a long time as well. He just started normal crawling in the past couple weeks, so around 10-10.5 months old. I suspect he'll be walking anytime in the next week to month.

I will say that even as DD pulls up, she doesn't look steady at all, not even close to putting her feet all the way down or any sort of balanced positioning so I think she has a while until cruising or walking (THANK GOODNESS)
Sounds normal. DD pulled up about 2 months before she crawled. She got where she wanted to go by scooting on her butt or rolling there. She only crawled for about a month and a half until she started cruising around 11 months, and walking right at 12 months.
