I'm at dd's sporty sprouts class right now. Preschoolers doing jumping jacks are so funny and adorable. They can usually do either the top part or the bottom but not both together. They sure bring a lot of energy and spirit to the task though
At lunch today a coworker was talking about some random zoo she stopped at this weekend.
Exact quote:
"Inhumane zoos are SO MUCH BETTER than humane zoos!!"
I don't think she understood why I found that to be a troubling comment ha.
There are 2 zoos here in the metro. One is free and the other costs money. I refuse to go to the free one. So many people refer to it as the "sad zoo" and it is. The enclosures for the animals are tiny and they aren't well cared for IMO. So many people like it and I just can't get behind that idea at all. I'll gladly pay my $100+ a year membership to the zoo that treats animals well and who's main focus is conservation!
V: *picks a piece of celery out of his soup* what's that, daddy? me: it's celery. Can you eat it? V: *eats celery* *picks a piece of carrot out of his soup* what's this? me: V, use your spoon please. V: *puts carrot back in the soup* *uses spoon to scoop carrot out of the soup, along with some broth* *pours broth & carrot into his other hand, holds up carrot* what's this?
