It is 6:34am and I just finished feeding G after his first wake up! It is like he knew today was my birthday and gave me the best present ever! And I get pineapple mimosas for breakfast before a day of fun with my family. I like 30 so far.
It's 7am and DD only woke up once last night! Woo! She also seems like she might even doze a little more after she finishes her morning bottle, if she does I'm debating between more sleep or running out to starbucks.
I think E just doesn't feel well. He's had cold symptoms, but hadn't shown any signs that he was feeling unwell. Then he got his 4 month shots yesterday. Poor kiddo can't breathe for the boogers and can't really sleep. I'm already doing baby vicks on his feet and a humidifier at night. He hasn't slept except for on me or beside me in bed.
I've already called in to work, and the nanny is coming in about an hour. I'll turn him over to her then catch a nap.
Another day of not feeling great. I wake up feeling terrible, feel progressively better until mid afternoon, and then my throat starts hurting and by dinner time i feel awful again. Blah. So I'll take the kids to daycare and then come home and try to get some work done. One good thing is that I was asleep by 10:30 last night.
I hate having a shared wall. Our neighbor kid woke me up at 6:30 (I know not early compared to some in this thread), but it's not my kid! Our house needs to sell soon so we can buy a new house here.
I've started putting the Christmas decorations up since we'll be OOT next week. It's really putting me in the mood for the holidays! I'm really tempted to start listening to Christmas carols already And usually I'm a very firm, wait til after Thanksgiving person, lol.
I invited one of DDs daycare buddies and her mom over for a play date next Saturday and they accepted! Now I'm freaking out wondering what snacks I should have, do we stay in the same room when the girls play, etc.
This is our first play date with someone who I haven't been friends before kids with!!
H is taking J to school this morning so I can go on yet another school tour. Today I'm touring the school I went to K-8. They have a brand new building for their nursery program, so I'm excited to see how much it has changed there. They didn't have a nursery program when I went, and it was brand new when my sister went 8 years after me.
My new iPhone 6s is so shiny! I can't believe how clunky and OLD my 4s was. The pictures taken with the 4s look like they've got dirt smeared on them. The 6s pictures are amazing. Squee!
I got an email yesterday from UPS saying that I was receiving a package today from OC Tanner from Salt Lake City. I have no recollection of ordering anything. Google tells me this is a jewelry company. DH denies ordering anything, plus he usually ships things for me to his office. The suspense is killing me!
Oh oh AND my PBK stockings came yesterday! They look fantastic. Great size, good quality, they all coordinate nicely. I can't wait to hang them! Ashley&Scott have you gotten yours yet?
DS has an eye exam today. It's supposed to be a play-based appointment, but they are going to dilate his eyes! Ahh! I was told the exam should take 1.5 - 2 hrs. Crazy. The pedi eye dr is at the hospital in a neighboring town, and my MIL is meeting with the breast surgeon around the same time. We hope to see her. She met with the oncologist yesterday and says she doesn't know what stage she is. Suuuuure.
In case anyone didn't see my MOTN (well it was really 5:30am) post, please send no stomach bug vibes my way. DH caught it from E, but I'm hoping that since I was OOT I can avoid it. If incubation was 3 days for DH, that would put me at Thursday night and we have an important builder meeting Friday afternoon.
Also I'm a bit pissed that DH did nothing to help this morning. He couldn't even take the dog out? Whenever I'm sick I still get up, throw on clothes and take E to daycare, then come back and sleep. Maybe if I do get sick, I'll make DH handle it all and just lay in bed.
Sorry for the huge picture but I finally have a great neutral matte lipstick I love and had to share. It's Nars Pure Matte in Tonkin. Such a good color.
The weather is thwarting my "walk ds1 to preschool plans" so I think I will attempt to take my car in for its 20,000 mile tune up/oil change after I drop him off. Can dealerships do inspections or is that another stop I need to make?
Ds2 woke to nurse at 620 so I got up and have had 45 minutes BY MYSELF to start my day

H and I had made so much progress on DD's massive preference for me. We were to the point where, once DD was actually playing with H, I could wander in and out of the room, and she would just look at me then go back to playing with H. It was wonderful.
Then H went away for a couple days for work last week, and OMG. Now if H tries to do anything with/for her, she has a massive meltdown. Read a book to her, hand her a toy, touch her hand, anything. And I'm so torn between comforting her and just letting her melt down so she and H can work through the issue.
I checked our bank accounts/credit cards this morning and cried a little inside. Mat leave is sucking and the worst is yet to come. We are totally going to dip into our savings (expected, kind of) and it hurts me to do it even though it was kind of the plan. My spending is so out of control though - it is going to be a VERY good thing when I go back to work. DH doesn't spend any money and I won't have time to do anything other than groceries.
I can't believe P will be 6 months on Thursday. I also can't believe that I go back to work in 7 weeks and he is still EBF (other than solids) and sleeps like crap. I have work to do.
And holy crap, I can't wait for the holidays (and by that I mean Christmas). CANNOT WAIT.

CloudBee - I don't know the backstory or how long ago she was diagnosed, but it can take a while to officially determine the stage. I know for me, it took about 3 or 4 weeks before we officially got through all the biopsies and scans to know what we were dealing with. I didn't have breast cancer, but it's a similar process for many cancers. Hopefully she gets answers soon.
Where is the cheapest place to buy outdoor Christmas decorations? I think we are set for indoor stuff but we have never had a yard to decorate before and IM EXCITED!
