If you were planning on trying for a VBAC, was the size of the baby ever a consideration for you and/or your provider?
My doctor mentioned the possibility of a growth ultrasound after my 36 week appointment since C was 9lbs 7oz. She didn't say that big baby equals no TOLAC, but that it's something to consider when deciding when to schedule possible RCS.
Additionally, if you had a RCS scheduled in case you didn't go into labor on your own, when was is it scheduled for versus when a straight RCS would have been scheduled (e.g. 41 weeks vs 39 weeks?).

So, I was much larger with DS than I was with DD. She had IUGR and was 6lbs at birth. We did a butt-ton of US checks and NSTs with DS to check for IUGR, and he didn't have it. They predicted ~8lbs for him. My OB was super supportive of my TOLAC. I got acupuncture to help speed labor along because of my deadline (40w2d). I talked my OB into letting me have another week (41w2d) because we were both fine/no distress/good NSTs and fluid levels. Anyway, I did go into labor on my own, but it took 5 days (of hard contractions every 5-10min) for me to get from 2cm to 4cm, then a few more hours/them breaking my water to get to a 6, and then after that he got stuck in my pelvis, so we moved to the RCS. He had serious cone-head when he came out, haha. There was no way that boy was going to fit.
My son was born 9 pounds 2 oz on his due date. I went into labor on my own but after 30 hours he wouldn't flip (sunny side up). My doctor was open to me have a vbac she just didn't want me to go past my due date and wouldn't induce. I saw a do to help my body get into position. I actually had my repeat caection for a Friday on Labor Day weekend (Labor Day was her due date). But my ob ended up having to reschedule it for Monday Labor Day. I had my vbac that Saturday night. My daughter was 9 pounds even
No size was never a concern/mentioned. My cs was for breech presentation though.
My rcs was scheduled for 38w. This was because it was twins and I had insulin controlled gd. So this was the absolute latest date that was safe to deliver given those factors.
Not for me. DD1 was huge (9pounds, 8 ounces) but there was never a concern that i wouldn't be able to deliver a 2nd kid.
My dr didn't schedule a section (he was super supportive of a VBAC), but he wouldn't let me go past 41 weeks. At 40 weeks, he stripped my membranes. The plans was that at 41, I'd come into the hospital and he'd break my water, then I'd have 24 hours to deliver before a c-section. I went into labor the night he stripped my membranes and DD2 was born at 40w1d. And she was much smaller (7lbs. 2 oz.)
"Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you've got a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies-"God damn it, you've got to be kind.”
My RCS was scheduled for 39w3d. My OB was fine with anything after 39 weeks and I preferred not to wait too long and chance going into labor.
Although there's no way of knowing beforehand, I was thankful that I had a RCS after seeing the size of DS's head, which was off the charts huge and almost forced my doctor to cut my previous c/s incision larger in order to get him out.
My doctor was also open to stripping membranes starting at 39 weeks. But my cervix was too far up for them to do it.
They would not give me meds to induce labor.
I basically told my doctor that I wasn't interested in an induction while she was mid-sentence telling me they don't like to do it for VBAC.
I didn't think to ask about stripping membranes. We did that twice with C and it didn't help because he literally never got low enough (even after dilating to 9).

Didn't mention size. Now that I've had the VBAC I'm not sure I would do it again, knowing her weight and head size. Lol. I never got to the point of scheduling the CS, but it could have been anytime after 39 weeks (they offered it for 39w2d).
Size wasn't a concern for us, DS was breech. (And, as you know, this one is too, lol)
My practice said they could use pitocin if I went into labor on my own, but needed help to progress. They would not use any cervix ripening meds to induce.
My OB did not want me to go past 41 weeks, which is a Sunday. My RCS is scheduled for Friday, at 40w5d. They scheduled it when I was about 35-36? weeks in case I did not go into labor. They said it was easier to put it on the books in case I need it and get my pick of Doctor/surgery time, instead of scheduling at the last minute.

My practice was willing to strip membranes if needed, but I never dilated (probably because of that whole breech presentation)...
