Dammit So glad that baby is with a good family. I believ her sister has seen too much of the outside - she won't tow the party line forever. At least that is my hope.

I saw this earlier today. So sad. I feel like she won't stay home long though. She's left before. And she's been through a lot recently. I hope that Ruth can get a good job with her college degree and be a good example for her sister.
This makes me angry and frustrated at her sister (which I know is horrible and like being mad at a puppy or baby). I would love to read her side of the story.
I feel for both of them. I honestly think it's partly due to her emotions from the adoptions and dealing with loosing her family and her daughter was too much right now, even though it was the best thing for her and her daughter.
Hopefully once she heals some she'll be ready to leave and never go back.

I was sucked in to reading nearly her entire blog last week and was horrified, but not shocked, at the shit her family put her through. I'm so impressed how well Ruth seems to be doing despite it all. I mean, I can tell she's struggling to carve out a independent life for herself, but she maintains such resolve and self-awareness despite her background. Especially her thoughts on how destructive the movement is to women.
Did they ever do a paternity test on Rachel's baby before she was placed?
