Based on a conversation with some friends recently, we came to the conclusion that you can pick roughly 3 of the following items to go well for you and the rest will likely be harder. Do you agree?
Getting pregnant Being pregnant Delivery PP recovery BF (if you choose to do so)
So, how was your experience with each of the above? 1 is hard/awful and 10 is easy/wonderful. Scores are obviously subjective and based on your perception and are not compared to anyone else's experiences.

Getting pregnant (3 with DD and DS1, 10 with DS2 who was a surprise) Being pregnant (1, 13w of bedrest with DD and DS1, 16w of bedrest with DS2, and more complications than I can count) Delivery (10--c/s both times and they were both easy) PP recovery (4 with DD and DS1 b/c of bad PPD, 10 with DS2) BF (if you choose to do so) (4 with DD and DS1 b/c I tried to BF but milk never came in, 10 with DS2 b/c I just went straight to EFF)
For both pregnancies: Getting pregnant: 10 Being pregnant: 6 Delivery: 10 PP recovery: 8
BF: 4 with kiddo one at first and then 8 once he hit twelve weeks; 9 with DD from the get go
I got pregnant easily both times and had fast, easy med-free deliveries. My PP recovery was fine both times. Nothing out of the ordinary from what I can tell.
I enjoyed being pregnant, but had cervix issues with X and was put on 9 weeks of bed rest. With K, I had bad pelvic and hip pain starting pretty early (20 weeks) so I saw a chiro and physical therapist frequently. I had the same pain with X, but didn't seek help until 32 weeks.

Getting pregnant - almost too easy, like a 15 all three times
Being pregnant - 8, I don't really mind being pregnant and haven't had any complications
Delivery - ah yes. Induction with 15 hrs of labor resulting in a c-section and then two repeat c/s... I'm going to give that a 5.
PP recovery - zero complications all three times, but I was recovering from c-sections. Maybe a 7?
BF (if you choose to do so) DD = easy, 8; DS1 = effing horrible, lots of latch issues blah blah blah, but eventually okay, 4; DS2 = easy, 8. Although none of them ever took a bottle so there's that.

It's true for me! Have had very complicated pregnancies (DVTs and bedrest and surgery postpartum) but otherwise things were fine.
Getting pregnant-10 Being pregnant-8 Delivery- 0 PP recovery-8 BF (if you choose to do so)- 9
All went well for me with the exception of L&D.
Got pregnant on 2nd cycle TTC (although I did m/c prior). Pregnancy was pretty easy. Some nausea but no vomiting. No complications at all. Delivery was a shit show. I hated that I ended up with a emerg-c under general but recovery was pretty easy. Just lots of swelling. BFed for 16.5 months with very minimal pain, never a clogged duct, or any complications at all. Supply was good. Weaning was easy.

Ah, holly116 brings up a good point that I forgot about. I gave BF a 10 but forgot about his adamant bottle refusal. Nursing was easy but this complicated things so maybe drop it down to a 7 or 8.
Getting pregnant - 10. Not even sure how it happened. Being pregnant - 8. I had a little nausea in the beginning and didn't like the gaining weight part but that was all. But I was way more breezy than I should've been about a high risk pregnancy. Delivery - 10. C-section to be held at 5 pm, 45 min later I exited the OR and was asking if I could please eat now. PP recovery - 9. The worst part was having to pass that first stool to be able to go home. Other than that I was sore a bit, but nothing horrible like I had heard. BF (if you choose to do so) - 1. This sucked so hard. Next time I am giving up way sooner if the kid doesn't figure out how to latch from the first minute.
The part that sucked the most was the change to my life afterwards. It took so long to figure out how to juggle my career and my baby and I still feel like I am drowning some days. Monday mornings are so so so hard for me.
Getting pregnant-2. It took 2 years, 5 IUIs, and 1 IVF cycle to conceive E. It's not a 1 because the IVF worked the first time. Being pregnant-10. I loved being pregnant and it was thoroughly uncomplicated. Delivery-8. Had to be induced, but once induced, it went mostly very smoothly. E had some decels so I had to wear oxygen and he was sunny side up, but once he was turned, he came right out. PP-5 or 6. Couple of 2nd degree tears. But a very fussy, refluxy baby. Lots of tears on both sides. Still need to lose weight because I'm not back in my clothes yet. BF-10. He had a great latch from the beginning and was an eager nurser. I am fortunate to have good anatomy and am oversupply (although that has its own issues). I did supplement a little the first few weeks, but no need now.
Getting pregnant --10 1 cycle 1st time and 2 cycles with this one Being pregnant --7 had Gestational diabetes but it wasn't overly difficult and probably helped me keep weight gain down Delivery -- 9 PP recovery --v9 BF (if you choose to do so)-- 2 my supply never came in, dd was such a sleepy baby and we went to supplementing within a week, I stopped trying to put her to my breast at a month and pumped for 6 months only getting at most 8 oz a day. Formula was my friend at this time.
Being pregnant: 5 - We had a scare with the NT scan and needed a CVS, then I had GD, and ended up going into labor a month early
Delivery: 9 - No major issues, it was about 18 hours from when I checked into the hospital to when I delivered
PP recovery: 8 - Not too bad, but my feet were swollen for at least a month after delivery
BF (if you choose to do so): 5 - Early latch issues and a constant struggle with supply. I'm hoping to make it to 6 months EBF. Originally I wanted to nurse for a year, but I don't think I'm going to make it. It stresses me out too much.
Being pregnant - 10 for #1; am reserving judgement for #2
Delivery - 4 for #1. I went into labor on my own, but ended up with a CS after 24 hours of labor, including 2.5 hours of pushing. G's delivery was a bit scary as he didn't cry for forever, there was meconium in my water when they broke it, and his initial apgar was a 1.
PP recovery - 3 for the first week and then a 7.
BF (if you choose to do so) - 4 for the first 6-ish weeks and then a 9.

Getting pregnant - 6 - DS1 was over a year TTC we had started fertility treatments when I got pregnant. DS2 after four months of trying. Being pregnant - 10 - I love being pregnant. Delivery -8- DS1 I was induced, epi didn't work and it was not great. DS2 alone is a 10! Awesome delivery. PP recovery - 9- combo of the two BF (if you choose to do so) - both a solid 10. Excellent nursers. Never had any pain with either. Nursed DS1 18.5 months until I was two months pregnant and currently nursing DS2 almost 13 months.
For me the hardest thing is getting pregnant. By far.
It will be interesting to read different perceptions. My CW and I had our babies within 2 weeks of each other.
We were both induced and pushed for 2 hours. She was able to birth her son while I had a c/s.
She said the delivery was the worst experience of her life. I had a more positive outlook after having major surgery.
I agree regarding perspective. For instance I don't really mark supplementing with formula as a huge mark against my BF experience but I realize some would. And I myself did with DD1 for a long time.
Regarding c sections my first recovery was awful and second was not at all so there is definitely a spectrum.
I gave my PP recovery experience a 10 just for my own vanity.
People who pushed for 10 minutes and needed 2 advils after are giving themselves lower scores, lol.

Getting pregnant- 3 (we don't necessarily have a hard time getting pregnant but we had two losses (10.5w and 7.5w, both had hb) before having C; took 7 cycles the first two pg and 4 cycles with C).
Being pregnant- 8. Loved being pregnant and had a really easy pregnancy.
Delivery- 2. Induction went bad fast and ended in an emergency c/s.
PP recovery- 9. Got really lucky outside of being very nauseous most of Day 1.
BF (if you choose to do so)- 8. Even with reflux, supposed allergies and diet elimination, and a tongue tie that was fixed early on. I have really enjoyed breastfeeding and have so many emotions on having to wean in the upcoming months (RE wants me fully weaned before getting pg again).
DD/first pregnancy: Getting pregnant- 10 (first try) Being pregnant- 7 moderate morning sickness and pre-e at the end Delivery- 3 (labored for 24+ hours, had back labor needed vacuum assist) PP recovery- 8 no issues but does that ever get a 10?? BF- 8 had some food intolerances but great once figured out. Some pain in the beginning
DS Getting pregnant- 8 (took 4 months) Being pregnant- 8 no real issues Delivery- 1 labored for 20 hours, pushed for FIVE hours, ended in C-Section PP recovery- 5 no issues but C section recovery (with a toddler) was hard BF- hard to answer. Nursed fine for 5 weeks but DS was having food intolerance issues. I cut everything out and he still had symptoms, but actual breast feeding was great. Ended up switching to hypoallergenic formula and a year later learned his continued symptoms were from a lip and tongue tie
Getting pregnant- for #1 was a 2. For #2 a 9 Being pregnant- #1 an 8 and number 2 so far a 6 Delivery-#1 a 4 Postpartum- I'd say an 8 most of my issues were later and due to a known condition that was going to cause a problem Breastfeeding- first few weeks was a 3 I had lots of issues but after that a 10
Getting pregnant - 4 - It took a long time to get Pg each time 2yr + clomid for #1 and 10+month w/no meds for #2 & #3 Being pregnant - 8 - 1st tri has sucked all 3 times with MS but over all easy pregnancies Delivery - 8 - Had to be induced both times but nothing too eventful PP recovery - 8 - I bounced back pretty quickly both times but I wasn't back in my PP jeans for a long while. BF (if you choose to do so) - 9 - I had good supply and they both latched fine. The first month with #1 was painful but I think that is pretty normal.
