Up with my early riser watching Mighty Machines and drinking tea. DS got up at 5:45a which is much better than yesterday's 4:45a.
Today should be busy. I have a ton of things to do before we host thanksgiving for 12 this week. We are also trying to get a few quick house projects done.
DD and I are going to a nutcracker brunch this afternoon. She usually doesn't nap at home, but it's right over when nap time would be, so hopefully it goes well.

This sounds fun! I can't wait to take E to the nutcracker when she's older.
I slept from 9:30-6 with no wake ups. It felt so good. We're meeting my parents for breakfast at 8:30. Then grocery store and maybe target.
The whole family stayed out LAAATE last night, but we had such a good time. We drove an hour to DH's BFF's house and had dinner with her, her husband, and 3yo daughter. We had a blast! They made early thanksgiving but with beef tenderloin, OMG amazing. The preschoolers happily played the whole time, we put dd in the exersaucer for the first time and she happily coo'ed for hours. Once she got tired I walked her around the block in the stroller and sleep fell asleep. I parked her in their front office room, and she slept all the way through dinner, so I got to eat the fancy dinner (mostly) like an adult! The conversation and wine flowed, we stayed out until 9pm! We didn't get the kids home and in bed until 10:30, which I think might be the latest DD has ever stayed up. But it was so fun!
DS woke up screaming at 3:30 from a nightmare (he saw Santa yesterday so not unexpected). He glued himself to me so I brought him back to our bed where he used my face as a pillow. I'm so tired. Silver lining: I was his first choice for comfort. Usually it's H.

Drinking coffee while DS watches Little Baby Bum videos on Youtube. This should buy me 20min of relaxation.
Going to 1/2 off sale at consignment fair this morning. Opens at 9am, so I plan to be there first thing. Then fighting the crounds at the market to get ingredients for Thanksgiving baking.
DH and DD are sleeping but I couldn't anymore so I'm up. I'm blessed with a child that loves to sleep in but then my body won't let me do the same. :-( My office is on the other side of our living room, so the fireplace is double sided. I have the fireplace turned on and am all cozy in here. The dogs are sleeping on my feet and the house is so quiet. It's so nice. I've already placed a HA order this morning with the 25% off and now am saving stuff on Target.com that I want to get on Black Friday.

We have ZERO plans today! I think I've finally caught the cold DD has been battling for a week, so I need to defrost some of the chicken soup I made last weekend for myself.
Also, we need to touch up some paint in the guest room and I need to make my grocery shopping list for Thanksgiving.
Ds is awake, and DH told him he could come downstairs but he said "no dada my clock isn't on 7 yet. Almost there. Then It is time to get up". Hahaha. I guess he's trained! Gives me 20 more min to drink coffee in the quiet.
Not much planned today. Football game is at 11 our time, and H and FIL really want to watch it, so whatever we do we will have to be back before 11, which is pretty hard because nothing opens till 10 around here.

Exhausted after E's shenanigans last night. I don't think we are going to church today- there is no child care today and like heck do I want to wrangle a 1.5 year old for an hour and a half and try to keep him entertained and quiet. So... now I've got to figure out how to entertain him at home. Ugh. I think H is planning on working on bathroom tiling so it's up to me. Boo.

I don't think I've ever once been awake before my kid. Sipping tea in a quiet, peaceful house while everyone else sleeps sounds like a little slice of heaven. Maybe one day?
DH is at mass, the kids have been up since, I dunno, sometime before six? But they played nicely together in their rooms till 7. So I'm not going to complain, except I'm living in fear that I'm getting a cold. I had that annoying little nasal drip that was causing me to cough as soon as I tried to sleep last night. I took some Advil and a single sudafed as was able to sleep. Fx lol.
I'm drinking coffee and as soon as DH gets home, I'll take the older two to Sunday school and go to mass myself. Then we'll have breakfast, I'm not sure if we're going out or not.
DD had a birthday party at a pottery glazing place this afternoon. Should be fun.
I think St. Nick is going to bring Nutcracker tickets to DD this year. It was a tradition for me growing up, and I cannot wait to start it with her.

We went to a Meat Bingo fundraiser last night. It was very small town USA but it was fun. It was my H's birthday but he chose it (with my parents?) I'm glad he had a good time.
Today we are going grocery shopping, seeing my friend, and then dinner and cake with my family. So glad to not have crazy plans.

We had pics with Santa done yesterday, I must aw because she was so happy! She's always happy but I wasn't sure what she would think of a strange bearded guy holding her. We had lunch after and she was just so good, smiling at everyone and playing quietly. Please stay a unicorn child DD!
Also, I'm just feeling so grateful for this place lately. One of my good friends just had her first and she is having a rough time - rough delivery, rough situation with her crazy family, somewhat stressful health situation with the baby, breastfeeding woes, and of course her anxiety is off the charts. I think I've actually been able to really help her and point her in the right directions, thanks to years of reading up here.
I woke up in the MOTN and my migraine had gotten worse. Google told me that lavender oil sometimes helps with headaches, so I took a bath with lavender bubble bath at 1am and then finally fell asleep with an ice pack on my temple. Luckily my kid let me sleep until 7am today, and the sweet boy even asked if I felt better this mormimg. (heart)
Today my BFF is flying into town and her mom and sister are hosting a baby shower for her. She's due about 8 weeks after me and I went totally off registry for her gifts because her registry was just sort of weird. Hope she doesn't mind! Plus, she needs to somehow travel back with everything and all of my gifts are nice and small and packable.
We had a miracle this morning. DS is normally good about going back to sleep in the MOTN if he wakes up, but then at 5 am he is wide awake and won't go back down. Happened again today and we decided to see what would happen if we let him play by himself in his crib, since he sounded happy. He played for about 15 minutes and went back to sleep until SEVEN. Omg. My whole day has been made!
I'm 39 weeks today and really hoping this my my last full week of pregnancy EVER! DH is taking the girls to church and I will redecorate the Christmas tree while they are gone. We let the kids do it last night and the clumping of the ornaments is driving me crazy! Surprising the girls with tickets to Junie B Jones the musical tonight. Perfect Sunday!
No plans today. My mom is making chicken gnocchi soup later (apparently it's like the soup at Olive Garden) since we are sick. DH might convert the crib to a toddler bed since it's just changing one rail. Looking forward to relaxing and watching football with my family.
Oh yeah and we've discovered DS is absolutely hilarious to watch football with. He's great at play by play. He running! He fall down! He hit his head!
